Car Share will be on Children in Need - Friday 17th November

So, ever since 2x04 ended and I cried myself to sleep on the night of April 11th, I’ve been speculating along with a few other people on here that surely that couldn’t be it. For over half a year now, it’s been discussed that the most likely time for something to happen would be at the end of the year; either on Christmas Comedy Shuffle... or Children in Need. This was confirmed last night when Car Share was shown during this year’s lineup trailer.

There are a few possibilities of what exactly will air on the night and these are my thoughts:

Outtakes/Deleted Scenes: This to me is the least likely option. Comedy Shuffle has always been the way Peter chooses to show extras from his shows, and I’m almost 100% sure that they will be shown on the Christmas Eve episode. I can’t see them airing on CiN and then again on Comedy Shuffle a month later, it just doesn’t make sense.

A scene set after 2x04: This is my most likely option. I think it could be a scene set post 2x04, making it obvious John and Kayleigh are a couple now, still driving to work together and singing along to Forever FM.

A trailer for a series/special/spinoff coming next year: Now this one is pretty out there, and I don’t think it’ll happen but I just can’t stop thinking about how adamant Peter has been about there being ‘no Christmas special/S3′, but has also said ‘never say never’ about it returning one day. I’ve thought about the possibility of a spinoff for a while and even though I don’t think it’s likely, I also don’t think it’s impossible.

Also: Peter will be on The Johnathan Ross Show the day after CiN. This could be to promote the DVD, but it could also be to talk about whatever is shown on CiN.

Only 8 days until we find out, as usual comments/thoughts are welcome!

John and Kayleigh are back on our screens tonight, guys! Let’s stay positive and keep our fingers crossed for that happy ending. 🤞🏻✨

I’m gunna do a write up when I’ve recovered but have this for now. I’m just so unbelievably happy for every single one of us who never gave up hope, never had a negative attitude, and always believed in #BanjoGate. Feeling so much love in our tiny fandom right now and I’m gunna go and calm down before I embarrass myself by being cheesy. ❤️
