hes corny. he let his wife keep her bluebirds and mice friends in the palace. he can do gymnastics. he tried to get a horse to jump off a second story building. he lost his memories and still caught that something was up. he followed talking mice into a dark empty room and listened to them sing a musical number. he never cared about romance, then met the One and instantly folded. he let two bluebirds drag him out of his fencing practice. he protected the woman who was impersonating his wife. he jumped out of a fucking window. what a guy

I don't know, if you had been asked these questions before, but: - What is your opinion on Beauty and the Beast remake? - What do you think of Cinderella direct-to-dvd sequels? I used to love the second one as a kid, but now i'm just wary of "be yourself" morals, even if they are meant with the good intentions.

If you look up “#live action beauty and the beast” in my blog you’ll find some more in-depth explanations of my opinion on it.

That movie is a dog sneeze. The only good things about it are Dan Stevens’ acting and Alan Menken’s additional songs—well, specifically “Evermore” and “Days in the Sun.”

The worst thing about Live Action Beauty and the Beast is what it does to Belle.

1) Someone told Emma Watson that feminists don’t show emotion or get moved by anything/she decided to play Belle that way because she only wanted to emphasize the idea that society was “keeping a smart woman down,” and didn’t understand anything else about the character. So where the real Belle would have no trouble letting the Beast see her tears, telling him with the open-hearted vulnerability of a child, “it’s wonderful!” after he gives her the library, and laughs and dances along with the enchanted silverware—Emma Watson’s fake Belle stares around coolly, waits till Beast leaves the room to react to his gift, and shows nothing but self-righteousness at all times.

2) The point of Beauty and the Beast (the real one) was “Sacrificial love is true beauty, and it can transform you from within.” Belle was the main vessel for that message, because she sacrificially gave up her life and dreams to save her father. That’s the decision that sets everything else into motion—but most importantly, it’s the first time the Beast shows a flicker of hope onscreen. We’re told from the first sequence that the Beast fell into despair and “lost all hope.” A hopeless, raging monster is all we get to see. Until Belle says “take me instead.” That sacrificial act is when the Beast suddenly stops and shows hope. “You would…take his place?” That’s him, already starting to transform—from despairing to hopeful, because of that one powerful moment of self-sacrifice Belle shows off. During their meeting.

And in the new movie, they stomp all over that scene. They take every ounce of transformative, self-sacrificial love out of it. Live Action Fake Belle never intends to sacrifice herself for her father, she just intends to trick the Beast into letting him go and escaping, herself, later. There’s no self-sacrifice if you already know you’ll be free, later.

Now, you could argue, “The Beast didn’t know that, though. To him, Belle really was sacrificing herself!” Yeah. And look how he reacts. “Your father is a fool. And so are you!” So like. The Beast is not moved by self-sacrificial love…and Belle is not self-sacrificial.

And she’s not self-sacrificial in the whole movie. They place more emphasis on her desire to be free. Which is selfish. It is. It is a more-selfish choice, because when the Beast asks his most vulnerable, sweet, putting-himself-out-there question to Belle—“are you happy here with me?”—the Real Belle immediately said “Yes!” Fast. Convinced. Reassuring him. Because she’s thinking more about how he feels in that moment than how she feels. But, she’s also honest, and she trusts him at that point—they’re genuinely friends by that time—so she glances off to one side, hesitates, and when he asks, “what is it?” she answers, “if only I could see my father,” which—even then—is not about herself, alone. It’s a callback to her love for her father.

But FAKE Belle?

Fake Belle is asked the Beast’s most vulnerable, genuine question—and she answers by preaching at him. “Can anyone be truly happy if they aren’t free?” And instead of the Beast taking her to see her father—because in this version, again, the emphasis isn’t on her sacrificial love, it’s on her selfish focus on freedom—he goes to show her a book that will let her visit anywhere. …which breaks the whole story, by the way.

There are other issues. Big ones. But that, at its heart, is the main problem with Beauty and the Beast (Live Action.)

Bro I Just imagine a Jayvik story but what if it was a Cinderella III au movie! Like I can just see the Prince Charming with Jayce here like it would be funny to imagine that one scene where the prince literally flings himself off the window but Jayce doing that. Not sure who would play the other characters but it doesn’t have to be exactly according to the movie but mostly of it.

Idk I love the Cinderella: a twist in time movie and it’s wild funny moments, or the action in it like the carriage scene!

Hmm 🤨 Sinbad just on the spot, marry the man he clearly has history with.
