I have twenty gold rupees francs!

Aaaaahhhh I’m so happy how this dress is turning out!! I cut down the under sleeves both in width and in length, and probably didn’t need to double the width of the sleeve ruffle, but oh well. All that’s really left is to hem the skirts! But I’m thinking of adding a few hooks and eyes to help secure the back 😅

I’m much happier with how my over sleeves turned out, that I’ll be reusing that pattern to fix up the work dress. Between body changes, just not liking the fabric color, and rethinking the construction on a whole im considering remaking that once I find the correct color. It’s an interesting teal that I don’t see often in stores, so I have time before I go back to remake it. But for now im a pretty pretty courtier with bad shoes and lots of money.

Finally some progress shots!

I have reshaped the bodice to be a deeper neckline, and reworked the skirts into proper pleats. Also better dart tucks for my bust, I think trimming the neckline helped with that mess.

Had to adjust both those items again though, due to messing up the math and accidentally having too much space in the front waist seam. But I think I’m at a good spot now, where the main dress is finally coming together. Just now finished this fitting to make sure everything does fit like I want it to, and can comfortably pin the bust insert in place to hand stitch it down.

Once that’s in I’ll start patterning the sleeves!

Edit: found the braid trim and wanted to attach it 😅 now sleeves patterning is next.

Back to working on Danielle’s court dress.

Still not a fan of what’s going on in the bust but I’m running out of patience on fixing it. This is no way historical, and I’m okay with that. I just want it to look nice 😭

Already fixed pior mistake of sewing the back skirts (both gold and ivory) seams together??? Sure it was easy to do initially because of the back lacing panels are together but not a good idea with how it pulled heavily on the back of the skirts… I need them to floof and float behind me when I run away from Prince Charming as he asks too many personal questions.

Anyways I’m starting on hand binding the eyelets, which is going pretty smooth and quickly. I’m highly considering making my own lacing by finderloop braiding while I got the time. Hoping things are well enough to wear this to a ren fair in a few months 🤞

I’m very excited now that I finally found the velvet I need for Danielle, and found a passing vinyl for Triss. Though the vinyl desperately needs to be repainted since I’m not doing a color swap with Yen. I ordered some tan leather paint from Angelus, so here’s hoping it all works out 🤞🤞🤞

While part of me wants this done by yesterday, there’s another part of me that is saying to take the extra steps to make this easier to alter later...

I’m not worried of gaining weight, as the back is laced up. But making it smaller if I loose any more inches in my bust 😅

But even with taking the extra time to hand sew some edges and trims, this should be a very quick and easy dress. Hoping to have time this weekend to work on it 🤞🤞

Meanwhile I’m dragging my feet again to start Triss cause I want to do get leather vest first.... but I’m waiting on those paints *^*

Aaaaahhhhh I’m so close to being finished and I’m so happy!

My shift took no time at all to make and it’s super comfy I love gauze!🥰

This time I tried my 16th century outfit on without my 18th century stays just out of curiosity. Aaaand I want my stays back. Plus I’ll need them to cushion my waist from my hanging pockets 😁
