here's a list of things I want to make someday if I ever get the budget for it as someone going into cinema who wants to become a writer, director, and videographer so that when I eventually achieve my dreams i'll be able to point to a tumblr post i made and be like "heh nice"
a tv series heavily inspired by creepypasta following a serial killer that works for an eldritch entity along with other serial killers that's about what it means to be evil, how far gone is too far to be redeemed, what makes someone worthy of redemption, and accepting that you've done evil things and learning to live with yourself afterwards. and also it's gay and everyone in the show is problematic, even the child that the serial killer adopts (this is like my number 1 dream project can you tell)
this one will never be possible because of disney but a gravity falls (most likely live action) remake intended for more adult audiences that includes all of the stuff we learn about in the book of bill (including very toxic and abusive billford)
literally anything to do with my fantasy world Banim
i have too many short film ideas that come and go from my brain but the current one i'm thinking of is about people (most often women and poc) getting mistreated in the medical field that follows someone trying to get a diagnosis for something and it ends with them cutting themselves open and smiling as they die because by cutting themselves open they found out that they were right all along about what was wrong with them (this idea was more fleshed out the first time i thought about it but then i went to bed and now most of it is gone but i think it'd make a good short film if i had the budget for it)
another short film idea i had was about this person that runs a popular bakery until a new bakery run by a robot opens up across the street. the robot's cakes are much worse than theirs, but it can make them 10x faster than they can and for much cheaper, so everyone ends up going to the robot instead of them. they get mad about this robot taking away their business so they end up doing a whole investigation into the robot, and one night sneaks into the bakery to see that not only does the robot run off of crushed up human brains, it also puts bits of those brains into the cakes it makes, which is what gives the cakes a unique flavor that makes customers keep coming back for more. haven't figured out how it would end, either the baker exposes the robot for what it is and no one cares or the baker's brain ends up getting fed into the robot. or both. and it may or may not be a metaphor for artists and the hopelessness many feel competing against generative ai
i'm aware it's probably not a good idea to be putting my ideas out there like this because someone might steal them but whatever, my short film ideas especially come and go really fast so i'll probably lose interest in the ones i put here soon in favor of new ones so eh
