Minty goodness
I've an older laptop that a friend gave me, and I thought "we're going to use this in our kitchen, so we don't need much oomph," and installed Mint Linux on it. After a bit of fiddling with the wireless settings, it works beautifully.
I want to upgrade its memory to the 1Gb maximum it supports, replace the internal fan, and give it a thorough cleaning, but I think we've got our recipe/music/browsing system for the house.
(Now to upgrade it to Petra ...)
