Easy and delicious cinnamon applesauce made right in your slow cooker. Perfect as a snack, dessert, or side dish. Pairs perfectly with Marie Callender's meals.
Ingredients: 10 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced. 1/4 cup water. 1/4 cup brown sugar. 1 teaspoon cinnamon. 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg.
Instructions: Put the apple slices in the slow cooker. Add water, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg to a small bowl. Pour it all together. Then, pour it over the apples in the slow cooker. Turn the heat down to low, cover, and cook for 4 to 6 hours, or until the apples are soft. When the apples are done cooking, mash them with a potato masher or fork until you get the texture you want. Serve hot or cold. Have fun!
