What’s Up With Your Weekend, 6/24-6/26/16

Friday

Concerts In the Park- Arden Park Roots, Jas & Iriefuse, ZFG: Come on down to Cesar Chavez Plaza and wear your Sacramento Republic FC gear to show your support for our local soccer stars. Food, art, vendors and a surprise! 5 - 9PM. 

Gold Lion Arts Summer Festival:  Rising from the ashes of the In The Flow Festival is the first ever Gold Lion Arts Summer Festival. This will be a weekend of creative, eclectic, challenging and beautiful music. Tickets are $20 per day or $35 for the full weekend - Shows start at 7PM on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. A Bright New Boise: Big Idea Theatre presents this 95-minute play about hope, desperation, the search for meaning, and the comfort of belief in the rapture from the break room of a Hobby Lobby in Boise, ID. 8PM, $18.

Record Club Friday’s Depeche Mode Tribute Night: Pour House hosts this all-vinyl dance night with sets from DJs Roger Carpio, Bryan Hawk & David X. 21+, 9PM, no cover.

Saturday

Most Open Mic in the City - Oak Park Farmers Market: Come to McClatchy Park for the farmers market fare, stay for the free summer pop-up brought to you by ZFG and the Crocker Block by Block initiative. Spit some rhymes, make some art, enjoy your neighbors’ company. 11AM-1PM. Free. 

Grapes & Grub: Head out to the Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg for this food truck, music, and wine weekend. 11AM-5PM,

Clever Little Lies: B Street Theatre presents this $9 and 9PM showing of Clever Little Lies, about an ill-fated evening of sidesplitting chaos unexpected revelations. Shocking and hilarious, Clever Little Lies is a story of love and marriage, for better and for worse. $9. 9PM. 

Family Jewels at Dive Bar: Local DJ My Cousin Vinny and his crew host this night. RSVP for preferred guest list entry by 7PM on 6/25. 21+, 10PM-2AM. 

Sunday

Piggybanks in the Park: Local financial health guru Stacey Powell presents these community conversations as part of the Twelve Days of Financial Health, hosted at various parks throughout Sacramento. Young adults (20-30 somethings) are encouraged to join her at William Land Park. 12 - 1PM.

7th Annual Red Shoe Crawl: Support Ronald McDonald Charities as you make your way through midtown and downtown Sacramento sampling delicious food and beverages from participating establishments such as Mother, Zocalo, Blackbird, 58 Degrees & Holding + more. 21+  1-5PM (Premium starts at noon). $60 - $80. Red shoes encouraged! 

Music in the Park: Sierra Curtis Neighborhood Association presents Legal Addiction with Mr. Cooper at William Curtis Park. Bring friends and family for this celebration of family, life, and community. 6-8PM. Free.
