not entirely how i envisioned it but if i don't stop now i'll either never finish or make it worse lol
(edit: i think it goes without saying, but wanted to drop a disclaimer that the background is a screenshot of Nar Shaddaa from the game, i didn't draw all that)
What is light without a little darkness?
Unrelated to anything ever but I have not seen enough panic attacks given to cipher 9 on a03 and tumblr so *cracks knuckles* I'm working on something
@cipher-9 asked: reverse + 🗡[👀] Send 🗡 to hold a blade to my muse's throat for their reaction! Alternatively, send 'reverse + 🗡' for my muse (receiver) to hold a blade to your muse's throat
The knife is, of course, not a standard issue blade: no Jedi carries one of those, when they have a lightsaber on them at all times -or should have it-, and Tarre is no different.
But instinct and upbringing and practicality, as well as trained reflexes, mean that he moves fast, and the Force makes him faster, and the knife is small and made of beskar and wickedly sharp, and Tarre does not hold it the way someone aftaid to use it might.
But instinct is one thing, and reaction is another, and the fact that the Force did not warn him is enough, for now, for Tarre to keep the knife pressed only for a moment, and then he takes a step back, nonchalant as ever.
"Now, I hope you truly weren't trying to sneak up on me." He comments, inquires.
@cipher-9 asked: "Do you ever feel like your life is not your own?"
⸻ ⛧ 𝘛𝘏𝘐𝘚 𝘞𝘈𝘚 𝘈 𝘉𝘌𝘛𝘛𝘌𝘙 𝘘𝘜𝘌𝘚𝘛𝘐𝘖𝘕 than he expected to receive from such a man. It pulls on Casimir's heart in a way he didn't anticipate & thus it briefly disarms him. He takes a long moment to think on thi, on how the Jedi have treated him since his discovery, what both sides have done to his world... even the suspicions against his Master that makes Casimir just as defensive. & with the way the war has been going, he does feel like a contingency. Perhaps not as much as this man, but... there is a small percentage of understanding. ( maybe this was why he had been placed in their care )
❝ Yes, I think so. ❞ Licking his lips, he looks through the viewport of the ship in consideration. He was rather devoted to the cause. To his life as a Jedi. He doesn't see another route, option, or alternate ideal. This just seemed like what he was meant for according to the Force, even with so much against him. Because even though the Jedi claim that origin doesn't matter, it sure as hell did.
❝ But what I do is impactful. It can change the course of the galaxy forever and for good. All Jedi are rather devoted to that. Our life is not our own, but to be guided by the will of the Force. ❞ Of course, he understands someone being cryptic of it, & so he has no desire to preach to the man. ❝ Yet in a way, I am also loyal to the Jedi, who we are, what we do. It is also my choice. Everyone can try and find a way to outrun fate anyway. If they try hard enough, maybe they can. ❞
"I am assigning you a rank and designation that suits your new position. You no longer have a name. You will answer only to Cipher Nine. “
