Any particular headcanons about the Hecate fam perhaps? :3
one of my longest held headcanons is that the rite of passage for hecate kids is actually constructing their own system of magic :^) what they inherit from hecate is basically the raw affinity to bend reality, but without proper channels, random bursts of power aren’t really productive yakno. the rite of passage is paradoxically easy, because you can do whatever bullshit you want, but your bullshit has to make sense in itself. so you have soooo many options and ways to get creative, and it’s very much a test of the hecate kids’ mettle and character.
for this reason, hecate kids usually have their specialties: alabaster’s is combat magic, lamia’s is blood curses, circe’s is transmogrification via herbs. josephine from toa canonically specializes in magical construction! lou ellen… i think she’s still figuring out what she wants to do aside from messing w people HAHAHAHAHHA and i like to think that hecate kids view their specializations as a very personal indication of who they are as individuals in the same way that doctors do
on the princess andromeda, alabaster was heavily involved in helping his siblings along their rites in his eagerness to be their helpful general/big brother. maybe thats why they died. hes not supposed to help smh
