Save Your Photos Day
Today is National Save Your Photos Day. Photographs are often one of the most powerful and meaningful parts of an archive or archival collection. Some of our most frequently requested materials are from our photographic archive or for images in old student publications. Though most of these materials were generated internally, like the images above, we also receive some donated images from alumni, students, Faculty and staff. Whether saving your photos for your own trip down memory lane or for others, we encourage you to consider these fantastic tips from our friends at Hennepin County Library Special Collections.
Back up digital photos on your phone, camera, and computer
Label print and digital photos with names, dates, and locations
Organize print photos in photo-safe containers
Move photos and negatives to a dark, cool, dry spot in your home
Monsters are everywhere! :)
Halloween is my Xmas.
