Weeks delayed, but I just want to say how big a deal it was to me that season 3 of The Witcher established that Jaskier is one of the most important people to Ciri

Weeks delayed, but I just want to say how big a deal it was to me that season 3 of The Witcher established that Jaskier is one of the most important people to Ciri
Geraskier!AU
Inspired by my story on Ao3 with a different meeting between Ciri, Geralt and Jaskier.
When they met Yennefer, she informs them that Jaskier is captured by the firefucker (she was not able to save him like the canon, but she escapes and search for Geralt).
Geralt wants to travel immediately to Oxenfurt and entrusts Ciri to Yennefer (in this one, Yennefer doesn’t have her magic but she is not a horrible person doesn’t try to sacrify Ciri) but Ciri refuses.
And when Geralt asks the reason, Ciri explains how Jaskier visited her at least once a year until Cintra fell and how they became friends.
If Geralt is going to rescue Jaskire, she wants to go with him.
This is why Geralt agrees and after they were teleported outside of Oxenfurt, Geralt asks about Jaskier’s past at Cintra.
What he finds out is a total different person behind Jaskier the bard Geralt always knew.
(In the story, Jaskier and Ciri met at Kaer Morhen after Jaskier rescues him and Geralt finds out anyway.)

Geralt's trying his best to follow Ciri's words.
He's an idiot and he didn't court anyone in his whole life but he wants to try with Jaskier, basically because Jaskier deserves it.
And Jaskier well... He just can't believe it.
But he will, eventually ❤️

Geralt knows he fucked up but he wants Jaskier to be happy, so in his mind it's fine to let him go.
Yennefer didn't want them to be separated like this 💔 so they will have to fix things, it's not too late.
(Yes, Geralt changed Jaskier's name on his phone.)
(He's so in love with Jaskier that's almost painful to watch 😭)

Cirilla loves Jaskier very much and Jaskier loves and adores Cirilla as much as she did.
They are best friends and Cirilla is suffering as much as them.
And she just wants them to fix it 💔
