cis trans chinese solidarity [pt: cis trans chinese solidarity] ⁑ flag for cischinese people who support transchinese people, transchinese people who support cischinese people, or just a general supportive flag.
The flags are a combo of the cischinese and transchinese flags, following the vertical format of the transchinese flag (just thought I'd look cuter that way), with a wider yellow stripe, like seen in both flags. I made them equally striped too, just because I don't know how to do complex stripes.
For the symbol, I added little people holding hands, for like solidarity you know. I coloured them just to make it prettier / the figures visually stand out more, and as different colours, to show they're different, but still together. Also, the different colours are still both from the Chinese flag. The stars in the centre are just inspired by the stars on the Chinese flag. Kind of like, showing your support by wearing matching pins? Or just showing you're like each other, on the inside? Sorry, I'm not really sure where I was going with it, they sure are pretty and unique tho.
And the star in the top is just based off the Chinese flag (duh), which also shows up in the cis and trans versions. I made it a gradient of colours though (from transchinese) just because I think it looks pretty.
(Wow, a lot of this is just aesthetic choices huh?)
I don't think the simple / symbol-less version makes much sense, but I included it anyways, just for if you need it for reference or something, easier to work with.
And if anyone wants a transparent version of the symbol, I can give that too (they're all saved on different layers, so it's easy).
I don't know how to word/name it properly, it's just supposed to be like,,, a showing your support flag type flag,,, like we're in this together? IDK mate ૮(˶╥﹏╥)ა I'm sorry
I mean, I see a lot of anti-transrace/anti-transchinese arguments, and it's like um,,, you're literally talking shit about me,,, even though I'm not transchinese. Like the ideas at their core also negatively effect me, even if they claim they're """defending real chinese people""", it's still the same racist arguments, well, racists use (like the kind of people who've never even heard of transrace). So I ended up looking into transrace stuff just because the other side has the worst arguments.
And, it doesn't even make sense anyways. If people want to be Chinese or see it as desirable, like, great? Literally why would I be upset people think my existence is good? Because I'm going to be honest, the kind of arguments racist/anti-transrace/anti-Chinese people use, where it's all like, "being a racial minority is inherently bad!! It's not society being irrational and hateful, it's just that please-oppress-me DNA that all minorities have. Also they should want to genocide- I mean kill themselves, because of their inferior race. I'm so right and such a good person" etc. etc. they suck. they're just bad.
Also, just like, if you're transchinese, you're Chinese, that's how I see it. And you'd be negatively affected by the same racist/anti-Chinese things anyways.
Even if you go the "well but nobody see them like that so they can't experience racism", again that doesn't even make sense, if any non normative/majority person, like a racial minority, a disabled person, a queer person, etc. "passes" as normative, when people shit talk, threaten, make illegal, refuse to help/accommodate, or just like discriminate those groups of people in general, just because they don't know the person in front of them is part of this group, just because they expect them to go along, doesn't mean they're not included in this, it doesn't mean they're just magically not negatively affected by these things.
Even if they "pass" this magically test of horribleness, what happens when they stop being "good"? When they step out of line by just a little? To be clear, even showing your support for minorities is a form of stepping out of line. And the "successful" alternative, is they just live in fear??? as not truly open / safe about themselves??? That's literally not a good existence. Also, oppression olympics is ridiculous, everyone should matter equally, and that includes pain, which is such a subjective experience anyways. And even if it could be measured somehow, if it's negative, it's negative, and that's no good, I don't like this minimisation or just live with the pain bullshit.
Bro this ended up being a whole rant,,, I swear this wasn't my intent, it just supposed to be a simple flag post.
Closing off, I don't know if these types of flags already exist, I guess in general, probably, but I don't know any cis trans specific versions. I think they're nice though, and that it'd be cool to have them for other IDs too. Like,,, anyone want to try making a russian one? I don't know if I'm confident enough to do it...
cis trans chinese solidarity (link) moodboard !!
flag by @forgetful-pomni ! [pls feel free 2 let us know if u dont want us 2 tag u(&)!!]
any transrace (specifically transchinese) people want to talk? I'm cischinese and just want to talk about it, in reblogs maybe, so people can read it like a transchinese tips thing.
like yay I love dumplings and incrediblely fancy stickers. smh I see people in western countries talking about stickers, and it's literally just sticky paper of clip art style drawings, meanwhile I'm used to 3d, transparent, coloured water, glitter stickers of dumpling shaped animals. western cartoon animals look like actual animals instead of beans with wittle feetsies sticking out of them. and all you can do is buy it overpriced from a supermarket instead of some dingy, grey, concrete, alley way store that's actually dedicated exclusively to random cute stuff. I'm so sorry you guys are being robbed (of cuteness).
Just a random thing I wanted to post, maybe it will help if you're transchinese.

It's these sweet glutinous rice ball things. Oddly, I grew up calling them jiu niang yuan zi, which specifies wine (specifically fermented glutinous rice, with the little rice bits floating around), but I rarely ever ate the wine version, just the plain version... So I guess the more accurate term is tang yuan, but I don't like the version with fillings, so maybe the correct name (in English) is plain glutinous rice balls 🤔 ? I'm not sure...
The only ingredients required are glutinous rice flour and sugar. You should probably look up a recipe online, but I just kind of do whatever, and it ends up edible, so okay.
All you need to do is mix the glutinous rice flour, some sugar, and water together, until it turns into a nice dough. Then split them into little balls, add to boiling water, and add more sugar to the water too (I just go by taste), they should be done when they float? Or you can just take a bite and find out lmao, I've done it, if it's raw you'll be able to tell, it'll still have that faintly grainy dough texture, instead of the smooth faintly transparentness of cooked ones.
If you want to have fun, you can mix in food colouring too, with the dough. I like making a bunch of pretty colours, pink and green being my favourite, they always seem so much fancier, like the ones in restaurants, though those always have filling......
And apparently, these plain versions aren't as popular, unlike the other versions (¬_¬"). If you're okay with filling, you can just get them pre-made / frozen from a Chinese / Asian grocery store. I've also seen little cups of the wine versions in China, though I'm unsure if you can find that in foreign stores.
Naturally, you can make your own versions with filling too, add fermented glutinous rice, or both. Maybe I will try it myself, but I remember not liking it much as a kid.
why don't more people wear Chinese tradional clothing, it's so pretty. I see it all the time in media, its aesthetic is clearly liked. tradional clothing in general is very cool. this makes me want to go China and actually buy those clothes and wear them... maybe even go to some remote location where you can drink tea in the mountains or some shit. or maybe in the city is also okay, you can rock weird aesthetics in (some) big cities, since they see so much.
ugh....... I can't really go to China right now though..... some day....
Is there a cischinese flag? Or a Chinese Russian flag? If not would anyone make one for me? >_<
Coining posts are cool, but I want to see more on people's experiences being transid / transx / other related labels.
So if anyone wants to talk about themselves, I'd be interested in reading it (ᵔᵕᵔ) Bonus points if it's transchinese or transTBI (I'm cis chinese & TBI ^^)
