What Independent Media Looks Like
It looks like a kitchen table with a laptop and a pot of coffee. It looks like a teenager filming a two-minute video that hits harder than any cable news broadcast. It looks like an elder speaking truth into a crackling microphone, heard in ten thousand ears across the country. Independent media is not a product. It’s a lifeline. It’s what happens when people stop waiting to be told what matters…
At a hardware shop

So few years back he grabs his sister and his mother, has em out in the street right here with his gun to the kids head yelling he's gonna shoot em both then shoot emself. Well sniper fire got em first. Anyway my mom comes home that day and she says kids I got a movie for you tonight and she'd filmed the whole damn thing, raw and uncut. Fuckin A."
Oh yeah
I picked up a late start class that is all about social change through new media and using photography. I have set up a WordPress account and will have at least three post up there. Still throwing around topic ideas in my head but I'm leaning toward the death penalty because I already have so many stats and quotes ready to go. It was prob ridiculous to take on an online class right before a move and finals but I think this class will be beneficial even outside of transferable credits.
Syria Coverage on YouTube
There’s been much talk about how mass media has been covering up, or at the very least…
