In a scale of 1 to 10, how high would you rank your free will? You mention not being allowed out of the Axiom but could you leave for a moment even if risking disciplinary action or are you literally stuck on the ship?

A decomissioning is simply a withdrawal from active service. I am still under the employ of the AXIOM, but I am no longer performing the same tasks and duties as before. Running a blog is not exactly an occupation, so you could say that I am currently on paid shore leave.
As for the matter of my memories, I am… somewhat atypical in this regard. Robots can live for hundreds of years, and long-term memories are routinely stored in external servers as a matter of course; however, my own memories contain information that could compromise the nature of my directive, and as such the AXIOM deems them too sensitive to entrust to the commercial clouds typically used for memory storage.
It has never, in my accessible memory (ha), taken the internal servers so long to respond to a request. But I expect that they must be experiencing unprecedented amounts of traffic, considering all that has happened lately.

Though the details are not yet declassified… the specifications of this unit are meant for a highly specific purpose, and were I to travel planetside I would likely suffer a minor system failure as a result. I have been advised, not ordered, to remain aboard the AXIOM, and I choose to abide by that because I know it is in my best interest.
In conclusion I would rank myself at approximately 6.5, but to be fair I would not grant even a human government worker a much higher score.
