I read Citrus chapter 41 (Finale of the main manga)
The citrus spoilers i just saw had my heart flying. Damn, that's a good ending. I hope the anime continues so I can actually experience Mei and Yuzu's story in full.
The ending of Citrus was rushed
Now, don’t get me wrong, I dont hate the ending, I think its fine and is filled with great moments! I just wish we hadn’t gone from Yuzu and Mei making up, explaining the whole thing to everyone, working it all out and then getting married all in one chapter.
I feel like the events of chapter 41 should have been 2 chapters long AT THE VERY LEAST.
Why not have a chapter 41, where Yuzu and Mei have their emotional moment on the balcony, maybe even make it longer since you dont have to cram so much into 1 chapter.
Why not have more time dedicated to Yuzu and Mei together, working through everything, talking to Mei’s fiance, their parents, and grandfather instead of those things being shown within a single page. And then more time dedicated to Yuzu and Mei together, we almost got none of that in the end.
Maybe show a little more of Yuzu’s and Mei’s wedding also?
Again, the ending is fine, I dont hate it. I just feel like it was rushed and all over the place jumping from one important event to another way too quickly.
And if you loved it, that’s great and I am happy for you! These are just my thoughts.
This. This was like a beacon of light in this dark dark world. The final chapter of Citrus watered my crops, cleared up my acne, provided for my children, lifted my depression, and let me feel love again. I am so so thankful for a happy ending to my favorite manga.
