in an alternate timeline i live in the city and run a flower shop. i grow herbs in planters on my windowsill. i get my breakfast croissants from the bakery down the street and for dinner i order out from all my favorite restaurants, unless inspiration strikes and i feel like making pasta or a hearty soup depending. each night i sit out on the fire escape and maybe i have a glass of white wine and i look over the lights of the city. i think of the life i’ve made for myself and i’m alone, but not lonely.
