Las Palmas de Gran Canaria vs. Biesca
So, you've probably seen the recent developments in Twitter... that has made me hurry a bit up in passing over some of the content from my Twitter to over here, today, the fact that a 1500 people town in northernmost Aragón has a better flag than a 300000 people mayor city.
How is it that Biesca, a town of 1500 has this INCREDIBLE FLAG (1), but I don’t know, Las Palmas, has to conform with this thing (2)?
With this I don't mean to say that vexillological quality should be proportional to the population of the place, nothing further than the truth, it just shows the laziness to make a effective and visually pleasing symbol for the city. This is no easy task, because Las Palmas is surrounded by great symbolism, such as the flag of Gran Canaria, Canarias and the UDLP [Unión Deportiva Las Palmas, the local football team]. These aforementioned symbols (specially the last one) often cast shadow upon any endemic symbol of the city.
A shorter post today, but the other idea I had in mind was to make a mega-post full of polls, but I just realised that you can only put ONE poll per post.
Do you still want me to make three different posts, each with one poll?
