North America 157 years ago today: Battle of Antietam (17 Sep 1862) https://buff.ly/32JW5w2 Having established naval supremacy, Union forces landed on the Virginia peninsula and advanced on Richmond, only to be smashed by Confederate General Robert E. Lee in the Seven Days Battles. Lee followed up his victory with an invasion of Maryland, but was brought to a halt at the Battle of Antietam/Sharpsburg, the bloodiest single-day battle in American history. Hi guys!! I thought I’d introduce myself to all my new followers over the past month. Welcome to my crazy life!! I’m Jessica and here are some #basicfacts ❤️This fall I start my 13th year of teaching! I’ve been in first, second, and now I teach 6th-8th Robotics, Broadcast, and STEM Careers. 🧡I am a mom to a high school SENIOR, Carly Summer, and we are beginning the journey to college for her. She is my reason for being and I wouldn’t change a thing from when I myself was 18 and pregnant because I wouldn’t have her. 💛I am a dog mom to Chip, @chipadeedoodah, who we adopted over two years ago and who is the fluffiest dog ever and because of him my wardrobe can be described as dog hair chic. 💚 I am super passionate about all things tech ed!! I think we live in such fast paced, unique world right now. We are preparing students today for jobs that don’t yet exist and we need to give them every tool we can in order to help them be successful in the future. 💙 I also believe that tech ed doesn’t just mean putting a piece of tech in a kid’s hand or making a worksheet digital. It involves computational thinking, problem solving, critical thinking skills, thinking outside the box, collaborating, and so much more. #STEMforall 💜 I have a bachelors degree in general studies with a concentration in military history. #civilwarbuff I have a master of education I. Educational technology and leadership. I completed an alternative certification program when I realized my call to become a teacher. 💖 I LOVE all things Disney.
