Most AI systems guess when they're unsure. In industrial procurement, that's a serious problem. Here's how CIZO built a smarter, controlled
While building an AI sourcing system for industrial components What surprised us most was figuring out where not to rely on it.
When a procurement engineer searches for something like “corrosion-resistant bolt for outdoor use,” a typical AI will guess the missing specs and return results with confidence. But in this space, a wrong guess isn’t just a bad suggestion.
So we split the problem. AI handles understanding what the user means, but engineering logic decides what’s actually valid.
On top of that, every output goes through a validation layer before reaching the user.
That shift made a real difference—fewer errors, faster decisions, and even skeptical engineers started trusting the system.
We’ve shared the full breakdown, what worked, and what we’d improve next time.
