My daughter takes gymnastics on Tuesday afternoons and my son and I are loathe to sit in a hot gym that smells like feet for an hour. Well, he hates it. I usually bring a book. Anyway, we recently decided to go for a drive instead of sit and we came across this AMC Jeep CJ-8, better known as a Scrambler. They had a pretty short lifespan - made from 1981 to 1986.
In a way, this is way ahead of its time. Chrysler introduced the Wrangler Unlimited back in ‘04 and a half, which was clearly a nod back to the CJ-8. I think I’m more partial to the CJ version but that may be because Catherine Bach taints all my memories of CJs.
This one had clearly seen better days but I like to think that a little wear is a badge of honor.
