Meant to make an apple pie tonight. Instead stayed up doing this. Started as a goblin, but i was listening to the end of CJ Cherryh's Chanur series and so it morphed into a Hani spacer with a rather gobliny bat-like nose. One ring=completion of first journey, if i remember correctly. The Hani go topless in Michael Whelan's cover art, but i can't remember if that's explicit in the books... The spacers in the books are all female due to species specific customs and predjudices, but the main character of the series plays a part in changing that, so maybe we'll pretend male hani wear shirts, and this is one of the eager new recruits, glad to be making something of himself instead of taking his chances in the bloody competition men face planetside. Facing a bit of a conundrum at the moment, hence the hand over his mouth... And i don't think hani are four fingered, but my goblins are so that part of the initial sketch stuck around.
