So Gift Ford. One of the evil guys of all time. How would he respond to the Ford in Chain, Keep Us Together (who is also one of the evil guys of all time)? Also- which is more unhinged in your opinion?
Gift Ford would say he’s one of the free guys of all time :) He doesn’t necessarily consider himself evil (he is) but he also doesn’t mind the description. He’d call himself free though. Free to do whatever he wants whenever he wants however he wants. No rules or regulations to bind him. Who can tell him what to do? (Bill.) The whole universe is at his fingertips and he and his bestie are going to mold it however they like :)
Gift Ford would approve of Chain Ford’s intentions. He’s doing a very good job of keeping his Stanley around and making sure he doesn’t get hurt. And what an interesting spell he used to do it! Gift Ford would love to know more about this spell and these runes that Chain Ford created to bind his Stanley to him.
Though Gift Ford would be a little :/ over Chain Ford having burned his Stan on purpose and harmed him, but Gift Ford could also easily overlook that considering it was for “the greater good”. Sure, Stanley was hurt, but in the end it keeps him safe.
Of course, Gift Ford would not think of Chain Ford as a threat, and obviously he’s superior to Chain Ford. But all in all he’d approve of Chain Ford. He could do better, but at least he knows the value of Stanley and the importance of keeping him safe.
As for who is more unhinged… They’re both unhinged in different ways. But I’d say probably Gift Ford, since he has a lot more power and ability to make a mess of things. Both of them are a little delusional in thinking, but while Chain Ford knew he was hurting his Stan and apologized for it, Gift Ford doesn’t always realize he’s hurting his Stan, and thinks he’s in his right to do whatever he pleases to his family. Because he’s always correct :) he’s never wrong :)
I think Gift Ford being more dangerous makes him more unhinged. He can and will kill people just for insulting him. He doesn’t care much for the lives of others outside his family and Bill. He’s hard to reason with and his ego is disgustingly large.
Chain Ford is also willing to resort to violence and sabotage, but one of the differences between him and Gift Ford is that Chain Ford at least knows he’s doing wrong. Gift Ford just straight up doesn’t always believes he’s doing anything wrong. Chain Ford is able to empathize and sympathize, something Gift Ford struggles with immensely.
Chain Ford actually does feel bad when he hurts Stan, and apologizes when it happens. Gift Ford also can feel bad about hurting Stan (if he recognizes that he has) but rarely will apologize for anything and doesn’t usually mean his apologies. He just uses them to mollify Stan, he rarely actually feels sorry.
Gift Ford is also more unpredictable in how he might react to something, making him more unhinged in that manner. So I’d say it’s probably Gift Ford who is more unhinged. Chain Ford is his own brand of Messed Up though :)
