The Magic of Animation~Scenery Seen through Gravity Falls
Remember when joining fandom as a younger person meant lurking for a bit and figuring out the vibe and etiquette instead of coming in on day one and calling people weirdos for liking weirdo shit in the weirdo factory.

Hey thinking about that "fird is cured of Creature after he kills Stan" thing and like. What if uts a magic paradite kinda thing, can only infect a freshly dead corpse kinda thing. So it evolved to kill someone the body was close to-ie, loved ones- so that it can infect a new host. And then the previous one falls over, empty. But whatever Stan did that made Ford half-alive made it so the parasite leaving fixes Ford, abd now he's normal alive.
Anyway all this to say: Ford wakes up after killing his twin just to watch his twin turn into The Creature
So I saw these at the same time, but was able to answer @curi0uscanine first, so here's a screen shot.
On that note, the idea of The Creature being a parasitic thing that meshes with its host and targets loved ones because they're most likely to put their guard down implies that Ford was the target of a previous The Creature.
I propose Fiddleford who, lacking a nearby wife or son to torment, instead went for Ford. That does mean he's now a shriveled corpse somewhere. I propose his skeleton is in the bunker where Creature Ford lived.
Anyway back to Creature Ford successfully killing Stan, and then the Thing That Was Creature Ford slipping away to become Creature Stan and leaving Ford behind, covered in his brothers blood and haunted by his actions from the past however-long he was The Creature. And now he's watching his brother go through the same process, and oh god whats happening what has he done and-
And then its just this. Looney tunes swapping Creature time back and forth and getting mad at each other for slipping up and getting killed or getting killed so the other has to deal with some problem the other made. Yeah yeah their brother's corpse is hosting a Creature that's trying to kill them, but never mind all that. Stan hit a road block in his research and now its Fords turn to be a human person, and now Fords going to strangle Stan with his own hands while fully human.
fuck you
puts mullet stan in the iron lung (no blood version below the cut)

Yet another page of Stanley doodles
“don’t take it personally” how would you like me to take it then? professionally? romantically? academically?
Stanley fell asleep again while Ford was reading
Okay hear me out... Combine the conservatorship au with puppy!stan au 😋
So like what im imagining is the puppy mentality affecting Stan a lot more than just during full moons and it seeps into his human life, he finds himself having these episodes, getting all exciteable, his ability to read people and understand personal space depleating considerably. Or maybe the word becomes too big and confusing for him and he gets aggressive, you know like how little puppies get defensive when theyre confused.
Ford is called and is put into the conservatorship with stanley, who insists he's fine and doesnt need help, all while clinging to stanfords arm because he's finally with someone he trusts and cant bring himself to tear away, puppy logic, idk. I feel like ford would find it far easier to believe stan after a week or so, since the full moon would reveal stan's puppy form and all that strange childish behaviour starts making sense.
Ty for listening to my drabble i love ur works! 😋
RIP to Stan, being turned into a baby werewolf has given him Puppy Brain 😔
Interesting if the conservatorship happens solely because Stan’s new wolf pup instincts alter his human mind too, and not because of any sort of trauma. I do think he’d be happier to be with Ford because that’s pack!! Even if he’s a little annoyed that all these people think he’s incompetent and needs a guardian.
Puppy doesn’t do well alone. Wolves are social animals, so being with Ford is much better than being on his own!
Ford is quite put off by Stan’s new strange behaviours because they are constant. Stan’s just Like That now, and will be until his wolf form grows up. But I agree that after the first full moon, Ford totally believes Stan and suddenly understands why Stan is the way he is now. Ford would be fascinated and thrilled to have a werewolf he can study, especially one that’s a puppy. He can take detailed notes about werewolf growth and development as Stan’s wolf form gets older!
Ford would have an easier time dealing with puppy brained Stan, because he at least knows why Stan is that way, and can work out how to help Stan. In regular conservatorship au, Ford has a difficult time because he doesn’t understand why Stan age regresses and what happened, or how to help Stan. A werewolf? Ford can deal with. Extreme mental health issues? Ford is floundering.
Now a werewolf puppy Stan conservatorship where Stan is both affected by his puppy brain and has crazy trauma and mental issues? What a combo 💀
☝️erm... If I may–
Stan affected by puppy brain BECAUSE of trauma. Ford meets other werewolves for help and theyre all "what? Thats not normal"
I imagine Ford would go from excited, happy that finally there's someone to help but as soon as he finds out it's NOT normal for Stan to act young as a human, he becomes fustrated easily. Which is funny cosidering he's supposed to like what is abnormal bur suddenly he doesn't like it because it's Stan :)
Stan will age regress but because he is a werewolf his puppy likeness seeps into it. Or maybe a young stan was always very puppy like, who knows!
Maybe Ford reaches a point where he becomes so tired because its a constant with this Stan (Ford keeps triggering him) so he tries stimulate a fake full moon to keep stan as an actual puppy longer since hes more manageable like that. Its easier to be more patient with an adorable pupper than a grown man, afterall.
Being big brained I see 👀
Poor Stan having his brother do a 180 on him. Ford treating him patiently when he thinks it’s a normal werewolf thing and then suddenly becoming frustrated after learning it’s not normal.
Puppy Stan doesn’t understand why his brother doesn’t want to play with him anymore :( Ford would play with him even in human form because he thought it was good for Stan’s wolf development, and now he won’t play! He keeps shoving Stan away and snapping at him! :(
Ford wonders if Stan was playing a prank on him this entire time, pretending to be affected by his wolf puppy instincts as a human. Making Ford do silly things and probably laughing behind his back the entire time!
He locks himself up in his study (Stan is a grown man who can take care of himself!) and ignores Stan. Stan comes to his door and whines to be let in. Ford ignores him. Stan whines more. Ford ignores him. Stan keeps whining, sounding like a puppy while in the form of a man. Ford gets pissed off and throws the door open to yell at Stan.
Stan runs away with his (currently metaphorical) tail between his legs, scared and hurt and not understanding why pack brother is so angry with him now. He just cries about it sadly :(
Of course Ford would decide that something like simulating a full moon (likely not an easy feat by any means) is a better option than trying to deal with whatever is going on with Stan 😔 Then after some sleep and a while of only having the wolf puppy to deal with, Ford realizes he’s wrong and what he’s doing might be cruel to Stan.
He holds puppy Stan and cries apologies to him while puppy tries to lick his face to comfort him :)
You know that thing in Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness where the Scarlet Witch uses a spell to like. Take over an alternate version of herself in another dimension? Like project her consciousness into them and basically hijack them? I think it was called something like dreamwalking or whatever.
Anyway AU where an older Ford loses his Stan post weirdmageddon and goes mad with grief. Finally having reunited with his brother after 40 something years apart and forgiving each other, and then Stan’s sacrifice to defeat Bill kills him. And Ford can’t handle having lost his twin for good.
This old Ford searches for ways to bring Stan back, but nothing is successful. Attempts to resurrect Stan fail, attempts to time travel get stopped by the time police and fail. He’s banned from participating in globnar and making a wish. All avenues to bring back his Stan become dead ends, and with each one Ford goes a little bit more mad. The grief drives him crazy.
But then one day he stumbles upon something else. Not a way to get his Stan back, but a way to get a Stan. Old Ford learns how to take over the bodies of other versions of himself in other dimensions.
So he finds himself a dimension where the Ford in question still has their Stan, and hasn’t yet met Bill. Old Ford hijacks that Ford’s body, and immediately goes about searching for Stan. When he finds Stan, he is overjoyed.
Stan, on the other hand, is confused. His twin, who he hasn’t spoken to in years, suddenly shows up with no warning, looking incredibly happy to see him. Stan has no idea how Ford even found him, considering at the time he’s lying low from people looking for him. It’s weird. Ford is weird.
But Ford tearfully apologizes for everything and wraps his arms around Stan, and practically begs Stan to come back with him to a place called Gravity Falls. Stan is very put off by all this, because it just doesn’t seem right. And yet… how could he pass up the opportunity to make things right with his brother? What if he never gets another chance?
Ford tells him the people looking for him will never find him where Ford lives, so Stan goes.
Things are fine—at first. Gravity Falls is kind of a weird place, but Ford practically trips over himself to get Stan anything he wants, and he doesn’t get angry with Stan or talk down to him. It’s almost like he’s actually enjoying Stan’s company, which Stan finds hard to believe but is so hopeful for.
Except Ford. Doesn’t really give him much space either. He pretty much follows Stan around the whole day. He frets over Stan. He gets nervous when Stan wants to go out. He gets jealous when Stan tries to talk to other people. And Stan hates the way Ford keeps setting off his creep radar. Something isn’t right.
Then one day, Ford brings up sailing. He tells Stan they should buy a boat and live out their childhood dream together. The way they’d always planned. His research can wait, his projects don’t matter. He’s willing to abandon his work in Gravity Falls for Stan.
And Stan knows for sure then, that something is very wrong with Ford.
Eventually Stan learns about the body hijacking thing and has to figure out a way to kick old Ford out of his brother’s body so that he can get his real brother back. But it’s a dangerous task, because old Ford is possessive and overprotective and so twisted by grief that he won’t allow anything to separate him from Stan again. Not even Stan himself.
Old Ford doesn’t want to hurt Stan, but if that’s what he needs to do to make sure Stan doesn’t ever leave him again? So be it. He’s already lost one brother, he won’t lose another.
Edit: Also imagine Stan has to enter Ford’s mindscape to free his brother from Old Ford’s possession, and he finds Ford trapped somewhere in his own mind, locked up by Old Ford. Stan helps him out but Old Ford finds them and they have to fight him off together to free Ford from him.
