Clace proposal scenarios:
- just like in city of fallen angels they go to the park except a more secluded area and this time not for training. It was nice and peaceful on their picnic for once but suddenly they encounter a small duo of demons which mimic your fears. They didn't have enough time to put on a fearless rune so it was worse but they got through it since even though their worst fears were eachother dead without them together they knew it was fake by the sight of eachother standing side by side fighting through it. After they killed the demons together they put healing runes on eachother and just sat down staring into eachothers eyes when Jace said: "I remember that one time on valentine's boat when the same sort of demons came up to me.at that time we thought we were siblings and it felt like my entire world was upside down. When those demons came up to me then and I saw you dying in my arms I almost died myself, maybe a few seconds more and I would have the next time it happened it was your fearless rune that saved me or at least I thought it was but really just like right now you saved me Clary, you did and not any rune or weapon or angel could save me in any way that you did.i love you Clary, hell, probably more than I ever should but I do. And despite what I was brought up to be like you broke it and I am so glad you did because you made me a better brother, a better parabatai, a better friend, a better shadowhunter and a better person than I could ever be without you. If I lost you I would lose myself. I live you more than the sun and the moon. I love you more than the world. So Clary will you marry me?" Of course Clary was crying tears of joy and said yes then they lived happily ever after (fingers crossed)
- it was Clary's birthday at the institute in New York and it was amazing. Everybody was ther: Simon, Isabelle, Magnus, Alec, Maia, Emma, bat, Jules, Jocelyn and Luke etc. And she was so happy. Jace was standing to the side just starring at her when Alec went up to him and asked "so us this confused, sad or I am about to make a big decision Jace?" He said with a grin in his face. "Honestly the third one mixed with... happiness." Jace was still starring at Clary not even taking a glance to Alec. "Just ask her already I can see you playing with the ring." Alec knew Jace was planning this for a while. "Alrightm it is the right time right?" "You guys have been through hell. Literally. Just do it already" Alec pushed Jace forward as Jace went up to Clary and asked her to go on a short walk with her outside. Once they got outside Jace stopped just under the light of the stars. "Clary, I love you so, so much and more than I ever did. I love you more every day and every second. And nothing could stop that or break our weirdly special bond. I still remember the dreams I had when Lilith possessed me. They were never of Alec or Isabelle or max or the world dying or if my life ending, they were always of you. I remember when I thought I had demon blood inside me, you were the one and only reason I didn't end my life then and there." Jace got down on one knee. "Clary, ever since the day outside that coffee shop I knew somewhere in my heart, that we had a bond or a connection but I never would have thought that it would be so strong that not even hell could break it. So would you, Clary Fairchild, like to become my wife?" Jace was still for a moment holding the herondale ring as Clary said "Jace I wouldn't like to marry you," Jace winced for a second closing his eyes hard. "I would love to!" Said Clary. Jace opened his eyes and jumped up and held Clary in his arms and just for a moment they were in their own little universe that felt like it would last for infinity.
-it was a calm and peaceful night at the New York institute. Jace was playing piano and Clary was drawing. Suddenly a new image came to Clary's mind. She got up and said "I am going to portal to simon and Izzy's do you want to come?" Jace replied with a short and lovely "sure" he gets up at puts his arm around Clary's shoulders as she draws the portal rune outside. Once they get there Clary ruched off into a corner with Simon leaving Jace with Izzy. Clary whispered to Simon "I thought of a new rune and somehow I know what it means before using it." She was acting a little freaked out "what does it mean then?" Asked Simon softly. "I am not sure exactly but it seems more like one for...love," said Clary. "Does that sound crazy?" Simon shook his head. He took a quick glance at Jace and Izzy laughing on the couch. "You think it might be a sign that you have to do something that you and Jace both deserve more than anything in the world." Clary finally looked at him. "You mean propose to Jace?" Simon nodded. "You guys have been together for years and literally been through hell for eachother, it makes sense why the universe would give you this sign. But isn't there already a marriage and love rune and also parabatai rune?" Asked Simon. "yeah, there is, but this one is different. Not only from appearance but in meaning. It seems sort of like a bond or connection rune but for love. I think you would place this one on eachother in addition to the marriage rune. " Clary continued staring at Jace as if he was the light in a world of darkness. "Then, I think you should do it. Now." Simon pushed Clary forward. She turned around and lovingly glared at him as he shrugged at her. Jace looked up at her and said "ready to go?" He got up and took her hand sending shocks of electricity through her body. "Yeah" she took one last look at Simon as they walked outside. Once they closed the door Clary asked "do you want to walk this time?" "Sure". They walked under the cover of stars, hand in hand. Finally Jace broke the silence and stopped Clary and himself and looked into her eyes "is something wrong? You've seemed off ever since you asked to leave." His gold eyes darkened as Clary bit her lip so hard it started bleeding. "Nothings wrong, I just needed to clarify a big decision with Simon." "What decision?" He looked concerned now. "Do you remember when you were possessed by Lilith. You asked me on that roof top to put the marriage runes on eachother. I said yes and even though that seems like a lifetime ago if you asked me again or if I were to re do that one moment I would say yes because no matter what realm of this universe we are in or what version of ourselves we are I will always love you, Jace herondale more than anything in this world and not even death could change that. Tonight it's like the universe sent me some sort of sign that I have to do something and now I am sure of it more than ever. I got a vision of a rune and for once it didn't happen in the hight of battle," Jace looked sincere, with the gleam of starlight bringing out the gold of his hair and eyes. "Clary, what rune?" Clary looked up at the stars and then back at Jace wishing for her prism colour pencils to draw this. "Give me your arm" Jace did as she said "your not going to knock me out like I did to you right?" Clary could tell he was just trying to calm her nerves. She held his wrist and slowly drew the rune that she told Simon about. "this was the rune that came to me. It means sort of a connection of love, in a way like the parabatai rune or the downworlder connection rune but except for love." Jace came close and held Clary in his arms in a tight embrace. "If this was what all this was about you don't need to be so freaked out next time." He drew back and wiped a tear from Clary's face. "Jace, will you marry me?" He looked deep into her eyes. "Clary, I would rewrite our destiny's just so we could be together. So yes, yes I will marry you!" They smiled at eachother as they walked back to the institute ready to start the rest of their lives.
P.S- I am writing this aware about Janus but they deserve a happy ending so much that I just had too. Also I know Jace is the one to propose in most of them and that isn't because I don't think Clary wouldn't do it, it's just that it's the way I thought it would go for that one idea.
