BEFORE MARRIAGE :

-ned notices every detail about her outfit and even when she changes something small

-loves to kiss her on the cheek but only when they are alone

-he secretly gets jealous when robert or his brothers comment on claere’s beauty, but he will never show it

-she writes little diary entries on parchment about her and ned’s romantic interactions and the ink gets smudged bc she’s writing fast out of excitement

-makes up short romance songs and plays them to herself on her lute

-claere prefers him w facial hair or stubble

-they love their eye contact so any time they are in the same vicinity they are playing eye tag

AFTER MARRIAGE :

-if claere wants him to brush her long hair before bed he’ll huff about it but do it anyways and end up liking it (but he won’t admit it)

-ned does nottt let anyone disrespect his wife. if robert tries to make one of his comments about her, he instantly shuts it down

-she is clingy! if he spends all day hunting, the second he comes back she is all over him and asking him all about his day

-he loves taking her on horseback rides. bonus points if they’re riding on the same horse (my girl loves physical touch)

-she alwaysss wakes him up in the dead of night to relight to fire in their chambers the second it goes out bc she freezes her butt off in the north having been born in the reach
