Prompt List/Claiming Guidelines

Prompting for the OMGCP Heartbreakfest is now CLOSED! Thanks to you all, we made it all the way to 89 prompts!!

Claiming will open promptly on 6/24 at 3pm EST. Please DO NOT claim prompts on AO3 until you have sent in your claiming email and received a response from me!! I will be deleting all such claims made before the claiming period opens so that everyone will have a fair chance at claiming the prompts they want :)

Without further ado, here is the prompt list! 

Prompts are (mostly) sorted by character/pairing. You may also view prompts on the AO3 page, but keep in mind that the order of prompts/numbering will be different. 

Please read below for instructions on prompt claiming.

Claiming will be first come/first serve. Each prompt may be claimed once each for fic and for art. If you will not be available at the time prompting opens and are worried about not being able to claim a prompt in time, prompting by proxy (aka writing your prompting email in advance and having someone else send it for you when prompting opens) will be allowed.

Please send an email to omgcpheartbreakfestmod @ gmail with the following information:

So, a sample claim email would look like this:

If you would like to write or create art for your own prompt, fill out the following form instead:

For prompt details, simply write a brief outline of your idea (similar to what you would do if you were actually prompting it). The rating does not have to be exact and is only for organizational purposes.

can you claim more prompts after you’ve already finished one?

Hiya!

Yes, you can. In the claiming guidelines section of our current pinned post, the last point says—

♥ Once you have submitted your entry, you may claim an additional prompt.

Once the mods have accepted the submission for any current prompts, you may then claim an additional prompt—providing that claiming is still open.

Claiming will close on 9 April 2023, with all submissions due on 23 April 2023 unless otherwise arranged.

General Guidelines

Claiming period begins on March 12, 2019, 12 PM KST. 

Note that only one prompt can be claimed at at a time, but you can enter your top three preferred prompts in case your top choice has been claimed beforehand. Claimed prompts cannot be claimed again unless they’ve been dropped and/or put up for adoption.

If a writer submits two claims, the mods will consider the first submission to be their claim.

The mods will email claimers with a confirmation within 3 hours. This confirmation email will include your claimed prompt, a schedule, and your prompter’s Playground note!

If you have questions, you may send an email to the mods at any time.

The prompt archive will be updated as claims are confirmed! 

Claiming Reminders:

Please keep the prompter’s preferences (Numnum) and dislikes (Blech) in mind.

If you have any questions for the prompter, please let the mods know, and we’ll contact the prompter as soon as possible.

You will be submitting only the prompt code in the claiming form, so make sure to list them down!

The Rating stated in the prompt archive is the maximum or the highest rating that the prompter would like to see or read. Please make sure to rate your works appropriately!

For non-writer claimers:

Non-writer claimers are welcome to the fest! This includes artists, rpers, and other members of the fandom.

You may claim any of the prompts in the archive, including those that have already been claimed! If you choose a claimed prompt, your work will the fic’s cover image.

The schedule for non-writer claimers follows the same as the schedule for writers.

Note to writers:

Writers can claim only one (1) prompt at a time. If a writer completes their story before the posting deadline, and wishes to claim a second prompt, they may choose to do by getting into contact with the mods of the fest.

For writers with AO3 accounts: you can submit your works by posting it on the collection to be posted by the mods three (3) weeks before posting starts. If you would like to remain anonymous, please let the mods know before the reveal dates.

For writers without AO3 accounts: you can submit your works through .docx format, and it will be posted by the fic fest Archive account. You may only post your works in non-AO3 platforms (AFF, LiveJournal, Tumblr, etc) after the reveals. Please let the mods know so that we can add a link to the work to the masterlist!

Please keep in mind the notes given by the prompter! Should you have any questions, you can always contact us through our accounts.

More specific Tagging guidelines will be available soon, but in general, we would like to request all our writers to tag the most pressing and most relevant tags in the story.
