 It was raining heavily when Feuilly finally got off work, stepping out into the chilly, autumn air and under the awning of the shop.. The sky was swirled with dark gray clouds, dumping rain onto the city in sheets. They let out a deep sigh, buttoning up their jacket and pulling their hair back into a bun before darting out into the rain. They now wished they had listened to Bahorel this morning when he suggested for them to grab the umbrella, but of course, wasn’t going to admit that. Especially not when they would be met with a smug “I told you so!” the second they stepped into the apartment. 

Suddenly, a low rumble filled the air. Thunder. Groaning, Feuilly looked up the street. The main way would take much too long, it’d be quicker to take the shortcut. They darted into the small alleyway that would lead them closer their house.
