i wonder how clara's doing
(text says: "i'm all alone" & "you're not alone anymore")
Tommy is the son of the goddess of life, the goddess of life is motherinnit, Clara the "astronaut" is Tommy's older sister that was born a mortal and one day (literally) disappeared into the void in front of his eyes. When she went into the void, she was reunited with the goddess of life and became a deity of the stars and the void itself. After becoming a god, she would visit Tommy in his dreams and speak to him. Tommy just thought it was him having dreams of his sister during a low point in his life, but it started to become the only thing he could look forward to in exile. He never wanted to wake up.

TW: INJURIES, CHARACTER DEATH, HUMAN TRAFFICKING
A humans are space orcs thingy
In all truth, this wasn’t how his day was supposed to go. At all.
Phil and his crew had come planet-side about two weeks ago, and were only planning to stay for about a month to re-supply and do some minor repairs to the ship that they had been putting off for a while, and so far, it had been going pretty well.
Today, Phil was looking to trade, letting the boys do whatever they had planned for the day. Phil… trusted them… enough. Wilbur was responsible enough without another adult around, and Ranboo wasn’t going to do anything unless he was dragged into it, so Phil wasn’t going to be too concerned about it.
He glides over the trees of Amota, away from where their ship had been docked a bit ago, and towards the main trading city of the planet. He was simply going to be trading away some potions Wilbur had made, then trade whatever he got until he got what he wanted. Simple, really.
Amota was certainly one of the prettier planets, despite being a trading one, that Phil had come across in his life time. The wonderful, white trees, with stark purple leaves, ranging almost every shade of the colour falling from them. The sky was always a blue-purple colour, but oh stars the sunset was one of those that could take your breath away every night.
Phil was almost to the city when it happened. The break of something in the atmosphere, and the sound of shuddering as it hit the ground with such an impact Phil swore it could have thrown him off balance despite the fact he wasn’t even touching the ground.
After overcoming his shock, he looked for the source of whatever had caused such an impact. It didn’t take long for him to zone in on thick smoke rising from the trees in the distance, it took even less time for Phil to decide he was going to investigate. One of the things that always got him reprimanded by his crew, his curiosity.
So forgetting almost completely about trading today, Phil turned and began flying towards the smoke rising up from the purple trees.
It didn’t take long for him to get there, landing on the ground by the trees that had been pushed over in the crash. Phil was certain there would be no survivors of this, a crash straight through the atmosphere. No one could survive that. He winced at the thought, but continued anyways.
The closer he got to the ship, the smell of burning flesh further seeped its way into his nose, threatening to make him gag as it hit the back of his throat. He shuddered, and slowly made his way inside.
The lights of the ship were flickering, the ones that seemed to push through whatever had crashed the ship that is, the rest of them had been shattered on impact. He made his way further in, the ship only getting darker as he did so. It was unnerving to say the least.
It didn’t take long for him to find the cockpit, bodies thrown against the floor and walls in the crash. That wasn’t the most terrifying thing about them, though. What was terrifying were the bite marks and blunt scratches that littered the bodies of them, some had their eyes scratched out, their faces forever screaming. Phil felt sick.
He chirped to himself uncertainly as he looked into the cockpit. Whatever, whoever had done this must be in there. The door wasn’t faring well after the crash, it didn’t take much to get it off of its hinges and to the side, granting him free range to the pit and whatever was inside. He was right. There was someone here. They were still alive.
With a snarl and snapping teeth, they turned to him, heavily injured and yelling something in their mother tongue. They were hunched over the back of a chair, leaning almost all their weight on it as an arm gripped their side. They were bleeding horribly. All Phil could think about in that moment was how they were a human.
Humans were one of the, if not the most dangerous species that had been discovered as of yet. They were stupidly durable and immune to most common poisons, and if they didn’t want to die, they just… wouldn’t.
Phils next thought is that this must be a poacher’s ship. Judging by those outside, and the poor condition the human’s body was in, other than the obvious, made the conclusion relatively clear. Luckily for him, Philza had bothered to read the limited amount of books on humans. There wasn’t much, as the Galactic Council had made it very clear they were going to wait for humans to make their way off of their planet first before contacting them, but there was enough to try and communicate.
Phil lifted his hands up, a sign that he wasn’t going to hurt them, and racked his brain for what their language sounded like again. He couldn’t waist too much time, or they were going to die regardless of how strong the stories made them out to be.
With much hesitance, Phil managed to get out one word. He pointed to himself and said, “Safe.”
The word felt foreign on his tongue, of course it did, but he couldn’t use common or a translator to help either of them in this situation he didn’t think he’d ever be in. The use of their own language seemed to throw the human off, they just stared at him, blinking with wide eyes. It didn’t take long for them to narrow their eyes at him again though, but they weren’t snarling at him anymore, which he counted as a small victory.
“Phil,” He said slowly, jabbing a finger into his chest, “Phil.”
The human seemed to get the message, “Phil?” They parroted, tilting their head. Phil nodded, his eyes lighting up.
With the hand not holding their side, they pointed to themselves, “Clara,” They said slowly.
“Clara,” Phil repeated, the human nodded at him, seeming pleased.
With slow movements, Phil reached into his bag, a mistake as it instantly had the human, Clara, on edge once more. Slowly, Phil pulled out one of the potions Wilbur had given him to trade off, one to help them heal faster. A regeneration potion, as Wilbur called it.
Phil pointed at it, then at Clara, then mimed drinking it. The human immediately shook their head, baring their teeth at Phil again. This only made him sigh, supposedly he’d have to prove to them that it was safe. Perhaps too quickly, Phil dragged a hand over the bent hinges of the door, blood instantly blooming from his palm. If the human was concerned, they didn’t show it.
Phil uncorked the bottle, holding his palm up to the human and drinking a small bit of the potion. Clara didn’t seem to bother covering the curiosity on their face as Phils skin stitched itself back together in front of their eyes. With hesitance, they reached for the potion.
Phil smiled and gently handed it to them. Clara takes it, sniffing at it, before sipping at the potion. They watched with the same morbid curiosity as some of their skin began to stitch itself together. Then, with a sudden lurch of speed that shocked Phil, they pushed past Phil and darted down the hall. With a surprised chirp, Phil follows after them. They shouldn’t be moving this much when they are that injured!
Phil stumbles into the room Clara had darted into, coming across a sight he could only describe as heartbreaking. There were bodies in cages, other humans, and Clara was desperately cradling the body of a fledgling human, carefully pouring the potion down their throat as thick tears made their way out of their eyes. Clara drained the potion on them, before setting it to the side and waiting, staring intently at the child in their arms. Phil stood in the doorway, watching. Waiting with baited breath.
Clara sobbed when nothing seemed to happen to the blond fledgling, and Phil couldn’t help the guilt pooling in his gut, as if this was somehow his fault. Clara screamed into the childs chest, all reason seeming to have left them. Phil could only watch as the unmistakable sound of gut-wrenching sobs filled the room they were in. With slow steps, Phil made his way towards them, maybe he could help somehow.
They looked up at him, weakly baring their teeth at him. Phil sat down by them, heartbroken at the sight, still clinging onto some hope that maybe the potion was working.
“I’m sorry,” He mumbled, knowing they won’t understand the words, but he can see their face soften at the tone. Clara mumbles something back, then the two sit in silence in the cage room.
Phil thinks he was the first one to notice it, the wheeze like breathing. At first he thought it was Clara, but they were just… sitting there, emotionless. With a gentle hand, Phil gently touched their shoulder, making them flinch away slightly and look at him in what he can only assume is fright and confusion. He gestures to the fledgling in their lap, and upon looking down, Claras eyes widen as they catch the sight of the childs chest moving. They sob in what must be relief, hugging the fledgling closer as they grumble. Phil felt as if he was intruding.
Clara looked to Phil, then back to the child in their arms, then back to him, before holding them out gently, with a pained look on their face. Phil didn’t understand. He went to pull another potion out, but was stopped by Claras hand on his, a look in their eyes that he couldn’t quite place.
“Safe,” They said, pointing at Phils chest, “Tommy, safe, Phil.”
“Clara,” Phil began, not sure what he was even going to say, they didn’t know each other’s language. Clara just shook their head, looking what Phil can say is sad, it isn’t as if he’s been close enough to a human to study their facial expressions.
“Phil safe,” They said quietly, “Tommy safe.”
Phil dips his head, before gently taking ‘Tommy’ in his arms. He would keep them safe. For Clara. He looked back up at them, before offering a wing which they gladly lay in. If Clara wished to die, Phil would at least try and make sure they were comfortable. He gently ran his fingers through their hair, feeling them relax against him slowly as their energy sapped from them.
“Safe,” Clara mumbled.
“Safe,” Phil confirmed, continuing to run his hand through their hair until their chest stopped moving.

Puffy goes to deliever the news to Clara that Tommy is dead, and then sees Tommy just chilling in the living room, eating ice cream and reading a book about how to use magic. They sort of just stare at each other for a good few minutes before Clara arrives and reintroduces them.

clara is a goddess of safety, of homesickness. of tragedy, even. hope! of music, maybe.
