CLARIFICATION POST ^^

I feel I need to clarify because some people joke about it in the comments and tags – I am NOT a secret writer of Blue Eye Samurai (haha, I wish ^^)

I am A WRITER, though, and I am currently writing about a protagonist who is a woman disguising herself as a man, like Mizu (though she has a completely different personality and the story takes place in a completely different part of the world, in a different period in history, namely XIXth century South Africa). I sincerely hope people will enjoy my show the same way they are enjoying Blue Eye Samurai.

The reason I publish so much meta right now is because I want to challenge myself and check how much of the future plot I will guess correctly. It’s for fun, mainly – a nice breather from my regular work. I decided to do it now, because I expect some sort of trailer to come out during the San Diego Comic Con.    

Also, creators of Blue Eye Samurai are my idols, they created a masterpiece, and they use symbolism in a genius way that I’ve only seen in one other series, that is Eichiiro Oda’s One Piece.

As we're 2 ½ weeks out from the start of the week, I thought I'd clarify some questions I've gotten from discord and Tumblr. 

Are Queer Platonic Relationships allowed? 

- yes! As a fellow AroAce, I always adore different ways of showing relationships! As long as it's not strictly platonic, then it's allowed. 

Does it all need to be posted within the week? 

- nope! Multi chapter fics and series only need to have one chapter within the week to count. Considering only gave you guys a month to write, that would be unfair otherwise 

Is NSFW allowed?

- yep! This is a rated M show, if minors are here, then they know what they're getting themselves into! This event is for the fandom at large, including NSFW writers and artists. Just make sure it's properly tagged for filtering purposes 

Can there be multiple ships within the story/sharing the spot light?

- the ships within the event must have equal or more focus to any other ships. As long as you're not pushing it into the background, you should be good.

Are the prompts separated by a '/' one or the other, or can you use both?

- you can use both, it's formatted like that so I could comfortably fit everything onto the page. Its really only the ships that are limited to one per day out of the allotted 

Can you submit late? 

- Yep! I just don't want any early submissions. I'll reblog everything submitted under the tag for an extra week.

Are popular ships allowed in the background or as side ships?

- Yes, as long as they don't overshadow the main ship. Go wild

How to Heal If You Were Raised by an Abusive, Narcissistic Parent

"This is a painful, complex and deeply important topic to talk about."

This is a very good article. One of the reasons I post about narcissism so much is not to demonize or vilify people with these personality traits, or to shirk responsibility of my healing, but to make sense of my journey having been in the presence of people like this during the formative years of my life. Only now am I realizing just how much I missed out on having positive experiences in friendships and relationships, how much I missed out on developing and experimenting with different lifestyles because I had to be a “Carbon Copy” of what one particular person in my family system wanted, and also how much I now feel inadequate and incapable of developing that identity because I don’t know what my personality even needs to be like, which leads me to changing it as I see fit, which is emotionally damaging to me.

This doesn’t even scratch the surface of what I experienced within my immediate family with one of my closer relatives who also has narcissistic personality traits, which was outright financial abuse through lying and manipulation. 

Understand that when I post things concerning narcissism, I am not diagnosing anyone. I am simply pointing out, based on personal experience and research done by mental health professionals in this field, behaviors and actions that these people have, and how others may be affected by them. Most of what I post only appears here because it resonates personally with me and it is what I experienced or continue to experience in my daily life and I am posting because it helps me find somewhat of a voice that I am trying to develop in my day to day life.

No, not everyone who is difficult or challenging is a narcissist, Not everyone who is abusive is a narcissist. On that same note, not everyone who is a narcissist is abusive. However, having been in the presence of these types of people and experiencing their vitriol and hatred both firsthand and secondhand, their behavior can have lasting effects, even on those who are privy to how all of this works.

Everyone deserves empathy, yes, but I post what I post to raise awareness on how distance may be what is needed because empathy can put you in the position to be hurt by these people. No one asks to be abused or manipulated, and everyone should be able to feel safe in expressing themselves and their identity however they want without feeling like they are being put under a lens by those who want to be controlling of other people’s lives.

Don't know the whole comment as they blocked me but Tumblr is showing me this part of it but going to respond to this now.

That was not "threatening to label a person as an abuser because I didn't like their response."

That was "Their response used abuse tactics, namely, insisting they knew that I actually meant what I said in a mean, hurtful way despite me clearly labeling what I said as not that."

Do you know what it's like to have every word, every slight nuance of tone of voice, every quirk of an eyebrow or slightest facial movement, used as an excuse to verbally and emotionally abuse you, because your abuser sees Wrongness in everything you do, or don't do, or didn't do but they think you did, or didn't say but they assumed that's what you really meant to say? Because they insist that what you said and did had malicious intent, when you know for a sure and certain fact you didn't intend anything of the sort?

Cuz that's what it was like with our abusers, both our parents and our ex.

There's a reason why we overexplain. They're the reason. Their abuse, which made us anxious about not being understood.

And when we saw someone use that tactic against us, it immediately triggered Fight or Flight responses in all of us: Crystal got mad and argumentative; I, Sunni, wanted to cry and run away and hide; Shiloh went frozen and did run away and hide; it got Anna all defensive and angry.

In that emotional, triggered state, Anna responded.

Not at all because we disagreed with what they said.

But because the tactic they used, intentionally or not, is a common emotional abuse tactic.

Someone isn't an abuser for unintentionally using an abuse tactic, especially when they mean something genuinely in their own hurt and confusion. But when they continue in doing so, in insisting they know what you really truly meant when you honestly say and mean the exact opposite (and especially to then pile on verbal abuse based on that false accusation?) THAT'S an abuser.

That's what Anna was saying, to stop using abusive tactics because continuing to do so IS what abusers do.

Not because we disagreed.

BTW, insisting, after this post, that we only said what we did just because we disagreed? That would also be abuse. Just saying.

Let me clarify the discourse from last night, as everything got twisted by shitty people:

Rejecting ALL trans people just because they happen to be trans, is transphobic. Whether you know what kind of genitals they have doesn't even factor into this discussion.

Just like how rejecting ALL bi people just because they're bi is biphobic.

Just like how rejecting ALL people of colour just because they're not white is racist.

Because the fact of the matter is that you're rejecting an entire subsect of people, over a facet of themselves that they cannot control or change.

A person of colour cannot become white, a bisexual person cannot become straight or gay, and a trans person cannot become cis.

You're making a blanket rejection over an entire population, regardless of whether any of them actually fall inside your attraction boundaries, for traits that they cannot control.

Do you see how that is, in fact, bad?

I'm transgender, but I look and present feminine. Which means people often don't know that I'm trans until I tell them.

A person not being attracted to me for any random reason (eg, they're not attracted to feminine people, I'm not what they would personally consider attractive, they don't like my personality, etc) is totally fine, even if they know I'm trans.

HOWEVER, if the sole reason, the ONLY reason that they decide I'm not attractive to them is because I'm transgender, that is when it becomes an issue of transphobia.

For example, I've had cis people say they're attracted to me, until I tell them that I'm trans, at which point they start insisting that I'm actually ugly, or a trap, or that "jk lmao never liked you to begin with". That behaviour is transphobic. Because it is specific rejection based on my identity.

This is a Steven Universe Tangled The Series AU!

Who am I? I’m Cassie, or @joyflameball. I reblog a lot of random stuff over there and post some random stuff as well. Check it out!

What is this AU about? The characters from Steven Universe going through the Tangled The Series storyline. I will be making some changes so that the story works.

What is Tangled The Series? It’s a followup series to Disney’s Tangled movie. It delves into the lore of the Tangled universe and has a big following.

Where can I watch Tangled The Series? It’s on Disney+. Just make sure to watch Tangled and Tangled Before Ever After first, just so you know what’s happening. (also for hot lady caine.)

I came for Tangled The Series, what is Steven Universe? In a nutshell: Gay space rocks cry and sing while a child has to deal with his mom’s shit. It’s on Hulu. ALSO WATCH THE MOVIE BECAUSE SPINEL IS BABY

Is this going to be a comic or a fanfiction? I am not completely sure. I don’t know how to draw, but I want to learn how. So it might take a while before the comic begins. Or I could just write it as a fanfiction. That works too.

Is this a work in progress? Yep.

Is this post an FAQ? No. It’s just answering some questions I predict you might have.

Who is Steven taking the place of? Rapunzel. Both have healing powers, both did not ask for their powers, both are the main character of their show, both have PTSD. It’s perfect!

Can we ask the characters questions? Of course! You can’t ask their future selves questions, though. Just where they are in the storyline at the moment.

Gay rights? HELL YEAH! And trans rights, bi rights, ace rights, pan rights, black rights... ALL THE RIGHTS! ALL LIVES MATTER! Except pedophiles. Those guys are sick. Guys, KIDS CANNOT CONSENT. If you support pedos, I kindly ask you to fuck off ❤️

Just to clarify since a lot of people may misunderstand, the tweet from Tanaka-sensei's SERVAMP account confirms a "stage-production" ("butai") for the series. Technically, this is like a regular theatre play and not necessarily a musical. However, based on experience, a lot of anime/game-based butai likes to insert songs and dances in their stage plays unlike traditional ones - hence my decision to dub it as "musicals".

..... Then again, I realized that Japan has its own category of musicals (pretty much like stage play but with way more songs and dances), so I should have called it stage play instead. Sorry for the confusion!
