FOS 2002 - Food and Man

Located on page two of the syllabus states:

Class Behavior:

Your behavior in class is expected to befit that of a student proud to be a member of this University and desiring to do no harm to the good name of the institution. I expect this class of proud *insert name of insitution* Students to observe the following guidelines:

Be punctual. 

No unauthorized eating or drinking is allowed during class.

Beepers and cell phones and similar types of electronic equipment should be turned off and not used during class. 

The use of computers to perform actions not supportive of the class will be considered an uncivil act against the class and the instructor, reserves the right to punish the offender.

Cheating in any form will not be tolerated and the maximum punishment will be sought for those caught in the act.

Your dress will reflect your desire not to do harm to the institution.

You are expected to show respect for every member of the class through your words and actions.

It is your responsibility to be aware of all class assignments, to submit them on time and to inform the instructor at the earliest possible opportunity of any problems being encountered.

A lot of the time I'm usually 5-15 mins late. Class is from 5:30 to 8:00pm Tuesdays. I never have powered down my phone for a class. Surfing the web on my iPod resolves boredom. My "dress" doesn't conform to traditional standards for my gender assigned at birth and will not begin to start that again...

Even though this sounds pretty reasonable, I hope this teacher and I don't have any issues this semester. I am not fond of being told what I should and should not do by an enforcer, and I hope I won't second guess picking this class.
