Day 140
Tuesday July 12, 2016:
The summer session officially started today. There are so many Koreans here. Maybe I’m actually in Korea and don’t even know it. They posted the results of our placement test and the first two sheets were for all the students from different countries while the last three sheets were just for the Korean students. My class is really small and only has Asians in it…I’m not sure I like it. Right now I’m in F level (there are A, B, C, D, E, and F levels), but I am thinking about switching to a lower level. The book we use is interesting and not too difficult, but the people in the class are all very good at speaking. This is actually a good thing, but I don’t know if I can keep up with them, especially in discussions. I’m pretty sure one kid in our class is only here because he wanted to spend the summer in Shanghai and his parents made him go to school. He is pretty much fluent already. We will see how it goes.
