Shadow Dash

Rogue Optional Feature, Requires Cunning Action

You very briefly slip into the Border Aetherial to travel without passing through the space between. When you use your Cunning Action to Dash, you may choose to make it a Shadow Dash. On the turn you use a Shadow Dash, you are invisible while moving, don’t provoke opportunity attacks, and can pass through spaces occupied by other creatures. Creatures that can see into the ethereal plane can see you and can make opportunity attacks against you if they can also attack ethereal creatures. Shadow Dash is affected by effects that prevent or impede teleportation or ethereal travel, such as a Dimensional Anchor or Wall of Force.

Once you’ve used Shadow Dash twice, you can’t do so again until you complete a long or short rest.

[Apropos of absolutely nothing, I wish there was more support in this system for a one-handed weapon plus empty off-hand fighting style. 4e fighters had powers that did that sorta thing, made you good at grabbing and throwing people, which is pretty cool. I think there's a feat in 5e? Idk that it's that good tho. And feats are billed as optional anyway.]

Judo Throw

Monk Optional Feature

You may, in place of dealing damage with an unarmed strike made on your turn, spend 1 ki/moxie to grab the target and throw them up to 20 feet. in any direction, including straight up. The target must be no more than one size category larger than you.

If the target would be forced into a wall, it takes 7 (2d6) bludgeoning damage and falls prone.

If the target enters an ally’s melee reach, that ally can make an Opportunity Attack against them.

If you throw them straight up, they take 7 (2d6) bludgeoning damage from the fall and land prone in their space.

[In PoE, it's called "Aegis of Loyalty", and depending on which game you're looking at it either raises your defenses against attacks by charmed/dominated allies or caused your attacks against charmed/dominated allies to end the condition. The latter is not really something I'd mess with, but the former wouldn't be too hard to work in this system.]

Paladin Optional Feature

You may use your Lay on Hands feature to cure the frightened condition in the same manner you can use it to cure poisons and diseases. Removing the frightened condition requires you to spend 10 points of healing rather than 5.

Suggested Level Range: 5+

Touch of Loyalty

Paladin Optional Feature

You may use your Lay on Hands feature to cure the charmed condition in the same manner you can use it to cure poisons and diseases. Removing the charmed condition requires you to spend 15 points of healing rather than 5.
