I hate getting into classical music/instruments so late in life because I wanna learn music theory/anything abt classical music honestly SO BADLY but I feel too late in life to be able to do anything like at my school or learn an instrument.
I wanna learn piano or take the music theory class they offer so badly but they only offer it as a half year course as like a filler if your schedule isn’t full. They also told me that you need to know how to read sheet music and idk how :(
Doesn’t help that my sister plays like three instruments so she’s know as the “musical” one so I just look like a freaking larp getting into music at the big 17 years old
the American high school experience
incoming seniors wyaaaaa
Updates on my senior pants
I finally finished the numbers so on the right I started to add fabric from other pants I don't wear
this is the main inspiration so I'll probably add a few patches later
life update!!
it’s me again! my school starts next wednesday. i’m so excited!
a little bit about my schedule,, i don’t officially know which classes i’m taking yet, but i’m planning to take ap lang, ap 2d design, calculus, chemistry, world history, and i’m waiting on the rest :)
i was going to take ap calc, but my mom doesn’t think it’s a good idea. i’m embarrassed to be taking normal calculus as a junior, though. so many people are already ahead of me and i feel so behind.
anyway, i’m waiting for everything to be official. i’ve finally told all my friends i’m changing schools. i hate to leave them, but i need to get a proper education.
my learner’s permit test is likely going to be on either sept 23rd or 24th. i need to start studying for it lol
in case you didn’t know, my sweet 16 is on sept 8th, and i just can’t wait! i don’t know what i’m doing for my birthday yet, but i want to hang out with my friends!
finally, i’m going by a new name at school this year! my mom said it was okay to call myself wallace. it’s a family name, and i’ve always really liked it :) she said “as long as you aren’t calling yourself a boy”. whoops 😭 so you’re all welcome to call me wallace now!
i’ll check back in when my schedule is solid. for now, i’m going to spend the last few days of my summer doing whatever i want :p
see you soon!
