okay i have a medium funny shameless story that i will try to do justice…..

so my father (a conservative irish-catholic man in his mid-50s who does not allow us to swear in his home, etc.) noticed that shameless was on my netflix homepage when i was visiting my family for christmas

and he was like “huh, what’s shameless” and i was like “oh just a show i watch” and we never spoke of it again

until weeks LATER when he mentioned he started watching it and was on s3 and i was like 🤨 there is no way this will last

until TODAY. ON FACETIME. my mom & dad and i were talking about spirituality/religion and my dad just goes “yeah, it’s like ian in season 9 when he goes to talk to all the different religions, and realizes they’re all the same. i don’t really believe in all the rules and stuff anymore” and my jaw literally DROPPED. i cannot believe this man made it to SEASON NINE much less that this goddamn show gave him a spiritual awakening & i cannot handle it
