Another little screenside jam session. The main line is doubled in both a clone Roland JX-8P and my own little Two-Timing Oscillator, and it fades back and forth between the two as the song goes along. I wanted something to imitate the feel of a long, emotional scene from an 80s movie, with a simple tune at first, then the same tune with added bassline and percussion as the scene progressed.
This one took way longer than a normal jam session just because of constant computer problems. Instead of taking an hour or so to record and assemble, it ended up taking most of the day. I was just not having a very good or functional day.
Just to add further frustration, since I’ve been furloughed from my job I’ve signed up for unemployment to help keep me afloat in the interim. Today was the day that I was supposed to claim my first week of benefits, and the website was swamped. It kept glitching up and booting me out. It wasn’t until after I finally finished this piece that I was able to get in and claim my benefits. Go figure.
But the jam session is done. The benefits are claimed. The dishes... still need to be put away.
