Dance music in the UK is flourishing with a wave of sophisticated and exciting young producers and vocalists. There has been huge success for the likes of Disclosure, Duke Dumont, Gorgon City, Bondax, Nuaghty Boy and more with number one albums and single’s becoming a regular feature from this crop of beat makers. Cited as a key influence to these and others is UK Garage, a genre that was in its prime more than 15 years ago now. I’ve put together a special set of peak-time bangers that I grew up listening to on the likes of Mission, Y2K, Freek, Upfront & Rinse. The influence of MC's isnt overlooked either as Grime is featured alongside 2Step & four to the floor tunes.
