She had no clue why she decided it was a good idea to leave her mother's book at the restaurant in the first place. From her memory, she didn't even realize she left it there. Yet, she did, and she knew it as soon as she walked through the door to her house to find her mother's hands wanting her book back. So, as she had expected, her mother forced her to go back to the restaurant she had left it in the retrieve it. And she was never one to disobey an elders orders, shown by the fact that she was back in the restaurant she had left the paperback in, fingers nervously toying with the hem of the skirt she was wearing.

It wasn't even that interesting of a book, she recalled, yet it was old and probably a classic from when her mom was around her age. She tip-toed around anyone who had stood in her way, eyes downcast to the floor so she could only really see the shoes and legs of the people who stood in her way, not the faces. Her eyes only flickering upwards when she reached a counter.

--A Little Messy

Light, after doing the finishing touches on their project, looked around the room. There was paper scraps, clay bits, and paint scattered around the room. 

"I think now would be a good time to clean this all up." He spoke up as his eyes landed back on Alex after his look around the room. She nodded in reply, bits of clay and paint on her face. As they were picking up, however, Light was growing a little bored and decided to try something. He got a brush with a bit of paint on it and sneaked up behind Alex. After walking over quietly, he slowly reached his arm over and stroked her face with the brush. Alex yelped in surprise and Light laughed about it. Of course she decided to retaliate, taking another paintbrush with paint and spreading it across his face.

Soon a battle broke out between the two of them. In the end the both decided it was enough and eventually finished cleaning the room and their paint colored faces.
