With this being Black History Month we often highlight the amazing work that black people around the world have done. We focused on communication this term - verbal/non verbal communication and my students were given the task of creating a product or service, writing a commercial to promote their product or service and of course presenting the product or service. These kids blew me away with their creativity and confidence. One child created a WORKING lamp made from recycled pep bottles and plastic spoons called a GLOW BRIGHT LAMP, I was offered a Butterscotch cinnamon milk beverage, Delano's Cakes, Sparks 21st Century Salon which provides natural hair services, an AWE Pen, Brain Medication called TONNETELLA, Customized phone cases by Water Colour Designs hand painted on the spot and no design is the same, A GEMIC watch which I can't afford, the SS Hair dye that eliminates grey hairs and relaxes your hair at the same time, a Lip Polish - the combination of a lipstick and nail polish all in one; Tiana's Hair Sheen, and the Two In One Lippieare just a few of their concepts. What I am most proud about was the research that went into their presentations. Ingredients, side effects etc were all listed along with the cons. They had so much info on their posters I was overwhelmed 🙌🏽😍😘😍😊#mykidsrock #proudteacher #classwasgreat #littleinventors
