You make sure to get your suit properly tailored before you make reservations, and you're fortunate enough to get a good place set up for a decent time, despite the lateness of the arrangements. You drive the car around to Alice's apartment, but make sure that it's not parked right out front-you don't want too much attention, after all. You make your way up to the apartment, fixing your cuffs, and knock a few times before smoothing back your hair to cover the thinning areas. You don't have a hat tonight. You are mostly sure that Alice doesn't mind your...deficiency. 

You hold yourself as tall as you can, but maybe it won't be enough. You haven't talked properly with Alice for a long time, and hopefully-hopefully-things haven't gotten too bad. You're not sure if maybe you made her angry with something you said, or something you did. But you want to talk with her.

And maybe, you can get her to smile.
