The end credits are going and all of the monsters (minus Nagatha, of course) are chasing after Harvey with Norman chasing after them. I only have two things to say about this.
Aww
and...
Holy crap, you two already have a kid?! How?!
Oh my god, they’re still sniping at each other during the wedding! Why the fuck did you two ever get together, let alone stay married long enough to have a kid?!
...Actually, I have a theory for that. They both had a known wild streak when they were much younger (and in some ways still do, if the aftermath of the bachelor party was any indication), which was how they met and first got together. Just as they were realizing that they weren’t a good match for each other and were about to break up, they find out that Claude had gotten Nagatha pregnant. Against her mother’s wishes for her to find a better solution to this situation, Nagatha married Claude and they’ve only stayed married for the sake of Ghoul.
Do you see how terrible this is when you stop and try to think about why two characters who never share a single moment where it seems like they even vaguely like each other are together as a couple at all?
Apparently the wife of the monster that kidnapped the Bride is cussing him out, and Claude comments that she reminds him of Nagatha in a way. I’m sorry, but that’s just left me with the mental image of Nagatha constantly swearing, and that’s just something I don’t think I can handle right now.
Also, there’s this joke(?) immediately afterwards where she reminds Claude of Nagatha “around the waistline” and it pans down to his hips?
I seriously thought I’d imagined this part during my first viewing, but nope.
Maybe I’m too not-straight to understand this, but why did they do that? The animators didn’t need to show us that. All you’re doing is making me think “yep, Claude certainly has some nice hips” and make me wonder if someone working on this thought the same thing.
Henry just used the Mummy’s wrappings to make a lasso that could get them to the other side of this cliff.
...Okay then...
While trying to find the monster that took the Bride, Claude was apparently the only one observant enough to notice the footprints the monster left in its wake.
Well, Claude, you’re still an ass, but you’ve managed to get me to somewhat like you again due to being one of the smarter characters in this mess.
