If you could redesign clampdown for a Transformers series, would you? If so what would you change? (Your allowed to change voice actor and personality too if you want) Asking because I'm genuinely curious if you'd even want to try fixing him.

Here’s the thing- I dont HATE the crab designs in the show. There’s another crab transformer that comes later in the series,

Clawtrap. Now see, I LOVE Clawtrap. HE looks kinda normal. So let me make that clear; crab transformers aren’t my problem.

EVERYTHING is gross about Clampdown. I’m sorry, but lets look at him again;

Let’s list the issues here;

Eyes. Terrible, weird looking things that does NOT work. You recall the one crab from the Moana movie? THAT is a good example of two eyes not working well together, ACTUALLY being a good design. Not this.

Colors are just AWFUL. Miss matching claws, red and purple don’t work well here, and it genuinely looks like he’s wearing purple undies and boots. Terrible. Clawtrap’s colors are pure, and it makes SENSE for what kind of animal he is.

Voice acting. The voice actor for Clawtrap? Great, kinda sexy tbh, LOVED his evil vibe, even though the characters personality was just ‘bad guy’. Clampdown? God I don’t approve of bullying, but you can tell he got bullied as a kid, and you could see just why. No shade to Jim Cummings though, he’s not at fault for this.

How he moves. I get it, he’s a crab, he moves sideways, but god do I fucking hate how it moves. It’s like watching a spider run up your wall. Clawtrap is the same species, and HE doesn’t do that, I don’t understand it.

His personality. Clampdown is JUST a scary little pissbaby. Now, I can stand cowardly characters. Hell, tfa Skywarp is my favorite clone. But combine his looks, as WELL as the fact that he just tries to weasel his way out of situations, and he just. He’s gross.

The fact that Thunderhoof can’t kick his ass. I feel like if he got his shit fucked in, he’d be humbled enough to be tolerable.

MY MAIN POINTS;

He’s just. Awful. I’d change EVERYTHING about him. I wanna be optimistic, say just change a few things and I’d tolerate him, but I’m not kidding; he is 100%, a useless character.
