It has been a really long wait for these little guys to finish. I recently just got my hand drill working, it was a 110 so it needed a transformer before I could use it. The final stages of my tiny elephants project. Polishing out the rough edges, attaching the pins at the back. Today, they're going to the Children Book's Summit happening at the GT Toyota Cultural Center over at U.P. Diliman along with my postcards. ☺😊😀💗💘💝🌱🍂🍃🌻🌼🌾🌿🌞 #tinyslabproject #tinyelephantstoneware #cookiecutstamped #claystoriesstudio (at CLAY Stories)
Just some of my last works from the Basic Pottery (wheel throwing) workshop that I attended at the UPCFA Ceramics Studio. I've been refraining to post my works until the whole workshop duration is done. I've been documenting my works from day 1 to 7 which was glazing day. I'll be posting my wheel pottery experience in a full blog post soon. In the mean time, I'm sharing these, my last four works out of the bunch. They're not perfect, I still have a long way to get the groove of the spinning wheel, at least I've got the clay centering covered. At the same time, it's also these batch imperfections that I love the most. Imperfectly raw, reflecting both my struggle and act of letting go. It's not easy working on a moving clay. There are moments when you thought you already got your groove. Then your piece decides to wobble, I let them be and move on to work on a new one. They're not perfect, but they're all my babies and I love them all. 😙💗💘💝😍🌱🌻🍂🍃🌼🌿 #wheelthrowingpottery #claystoriesstudio (at UPCFA Ceramics Studio)
On the way to achieving space harmony. Consistency is key, at least now I have to dedicate my weekends for studio time. Finally found the ideal space set-up for the studio ground floor. The space for Craft Cradle. Next thing to do is to split up one of the shelves into half. Then arrange and organize the items from the boxes into the shelves. I'm so excited to work on more personal projects. Weeeee!!!! ☺😊😃😄👌💗💘💝 #studiolife #claystoriesstudio #craftcradle (at Craft Cradle)
Vibrant colors at play. We did one apron for @claystoriesstudio, still part of our test run during our refresher craft session. Perfect project to test how the fabric paint and acrilyc craft paint behaves on our chosen fabric. This is also a color test. After air drying the paint, let the design set by ironing the underside before throwing it into the laundry. This apron passed the laundry test with flying vibrant colors. 🎨🙌🙆💗💘💝 #flourbatik #fridaycraftday #studiolife #claystoriesstudio #craftcradle (at Craft Cradle)
My first clay project for 2017, while my 2016 works await final firing and glazing. Bone drying my cookie cut ornaments, used the little leaves stamp to add imprints. I'm excited to use my underglaze for these little ones. 😀 #tinyslabproject #cookiecutstamped #stoneware #claystoriesstudio (at CLAY Stories)
Yesterday's drizzly Sunday morning at the Clay Garden, wrapped in Amihan chill. Last two weeks of 2016!! AJA!!!! 💗💘💝 This is my bubble away from the chaos brought in by 2016. A year full of heavy blows, like a telenovela stuffed with mind blowing turn of events. The best thing to do is to remain hopeful. Trust God and His plans. Challenges are here to make us stonger, to grow, to be better beings. Let us always spread positive vibes. #morningsatthestudio #morningthoughts #claystoriesstudio #claygardenstudio (at CLAY Stories)
