Tuesday, Tuesday, Tuesday ... yet another topsy-turvy Tuesday in Tuesdayville.
Sometimes, just sometimes, your mind plays tricks on you. Seemingly my one and only marble did just that. All I could remember from my trip to the dentist last week was the pink colour … and yet … and yet … look at all the blue!?! How did that happen??? Or … (furrows brow, wiggles eyebrows up and down left, right, left, right, flicks eyes left to right) … did they paint in between my visits? Hmmmmmmmmm.
I mean, you can see the pink exists, right? There it is, lurid and larger than life, and it’s the colour that stuck in my cranium. Soooooooo, where’d all the blue come from???
I obviously need to take my tablets in a different order. Moooooore medication please, my drugs are obviously defective. ;-) Hmmm … maybe I should use an old Twister game and put my different coloured tablets on the different colour options and see what the spinney thing says as to which order would be best. Could be interesting. The posts I might post would certainly be interesting. ;-D
Anyhoo … I turned up there yesterday for some scaling and polishing and, whilst I waited (and despite the odd looks from the women on Reception – and yes, the bad tempered receptionist from last week was just as bad tempered yesterday) I took a few piccies. I have to say, I’m not a fan of the blue they’ve chosen either. And yes, I know, I’m just so picky. ;-) but I know what I like, and that blue isn’t it. I like vibrant colours.
I often think I’d like to start my own paint line with such colours as Beaten Up Banger Blue, Rained On Roadkill Red, Yell Down The Road Yellow and Oh My God I Love Sunsets Orange.
(At this point I can't help but remember a teenage friend who used to use pink and blue as her go to make up colours ... she wouldn't have looked out of place in Dynasty! ;-D)
Anyway, looking down their surgery bay corridor, I couldn’t help but think of an asylum. I could imagine being wheeled along past the globe lamps, strapped to a gurney, looking up into the hairy nostrils of an orderly and singing ‘I talk to the trees, that’s why they took me away!’ ;-D
After about 20 minutes wait the Hygienist came and got me. Usual small chit chat (at which I am incredibly bad) and then down to it. She’s very good at what she does, but I still don’t understand why (and especially after the big new expensive revamp) she doesn’t even have an assistant!?! The dentist I saw last week had two! This meant that I had to hold the suction tube inside my mouth whilst she got on with scaling my teeth. I figure I should get a discount for that … and potentially add such a skill to my CV/resume. ;-)
Still … my teeth are now super clean and (as I apparently did such a fine job since I last saw her in January), I don’t have to have another scale and polish until next January. Woo hoo!!! (does happy dance).
I have one hospital appointment next week and then, then I have nothing for a while. Thank feck for that!?! I think that this month I’ve had enough pokings and proddings and looking at this, that and the other to last me quite a while … plus, of course, there’s been menagerie members to ferry to the vet. I certainly feel as though I’ve seen and spent enough time in the various establishments of the shiny metropolis recently to want to just stay firmly at home for a bit. So, this week, the weekly shopping is being delivered.
And noooooooooooow for breakfast!! ...
