Commodus and Cleander
i hate trying to colour blondes so much it's unreal
L’impero romano 1° stagione - Commodo
I will say about Commodus, he sure has a very diverse group of friends. I mean, he's had:
A Bithynian Greek (Saoterus)
An Italian (Perennis)
A Phrygian (Cleander)
Another Greek (Marcia)
An Egyptian (Eclectus)
And an African (Laetus)
For a mad emperor, he sure doesn't discriminate. /j

When I was growing up I had a best friend named Cleander. It’s an odd name but a hella cool name as well. He and I knew each other from church and we got into so much trouble together I swear you could write a book about us. Speaking of books as 12 year olds, we wrote stories together. I still remember those hot summer evenings... our parents in church meetings, and he and I sitting at a table in the white fluorescently lit “kids” room with papers everywhere scribbles with ideas and taking turns writing a chapter with a crapy half working pen. And then we both moved away. He moved all the way to England. I mean we do talk, but not like we use to. He was my best friend, he was the keeper of my secrets and I his. I still remember the time he told me he had ate his mothers valentines day gift and blamed it on his dog, and his first crush, and the story of his first kiss. Sometimes I wish that I could go back in time and spend one more evening as a 12 year old with him. I’ll never forget those days.
