What is the #cleanseas campaign?
The United Nations Environment Programme has launched a worldwide campaign to eliminate the main sources of marine litter at the Economist World Ocean Summit in Bali 22nd-24th February 2017.
The campaign is urging governments to implement plastic reduction policies to reduce plastic marine litter such as microplastics in cosmetics and the overuse of disposable, single use plastics like cups, plates and plastic bags. This will target both industry and consumer habits to really encourage change!
