I broke the handle of an old maul (splitting axe) the other day, so I made a new one with the hatchet my girlfriend got me using some quartered oak I'd set aside for just such an occasion. From the left, we have the old ash maul handle, a stave like the one I used, the maul with its new handle and the hatchet and rasp I used. It's a bit rough and ready, but it's functional and only took 10 minutes so I'm pretty happy.
