Taking one another's hands, Claire and Leon stepped close to one another as the song they chose as their first dance for their wedding began to play. The melody was loud so everyone could hear it, but the speaker made it sound soft, which made it even better. The song they decided on a few months before their wedding was 'Thinking Out Loud' by Ed Sheeran - a song they both enjoy and an artist they believe has a wonderful voice.
Claire's dress flowed as their movements picked up. Her wedding dress is rather unique. It's long and slightly trails in the back, it has faint sparkles along its back and the sleeves are long too - it suits her well. Another factor about it in the front of it. It covers her cleavage, which she wanted heavily when choosing a dress. She just felt it was more modest. It's really gorgeous in the front, all white with faint sparkles towards the bottom. It truly suited her.
Leon's outfit was normal, just a black suit. He didn't want to do anything extravagant for himself, but instead, all for Claire. It's what she deserved for the fact she put together the wedding together herself. It's not that Leon never wanted to help out, he did, he just sucked at it. He was better with focusing on the minor aspects of it.
His hands traced her back as they swayed around the floor, gazing at one another. Claire's arms were swathed around Leon's neck, faintly playing with his hair out of nervousness as they danced around the center of the room. Everyone's eyes were on them, just the two of them. Leon didn't let it bother him as much but Claire isn't much of the type to be the center of attention.
The guests consist of their family and friends, some plus ones too. It's been a beautiful wedding so far.
Leon twirled Claire before pulling her back into him. Before the wedding itself and well in advance, they practiced dancing considering well, neither of them are good at it. It's been such a lovely thing to learn with one another, they've both enjoyed it and put all of their efforts into it, especially Leon. All he wants is for their wedding to be to Claire's standards and so far, it's gone amazingly.
Whilst they danced, Claire tilted her head as he looked into her now husband's eyes before speaking. "How are you feeling?" She whispered. "Great. You?" "Perfect." She smiled and nodded. Leon squeezed her hips when she said that, a sign of his joyfulness. "That's what I like to hear, my love." Leon pressed his forehead against hers, smiling brightly at her. "I love you, Leon." She said. "I love you most." He sighed deeply, bringing his lips up to her forehead and kissing it sweetly.
Once again, Leon twirled her as the song hit it's middle, timing it excellently.
"Guess the work we've put in has paid off; You are a fine dancer, Mr. Kennedy." Claire bit her lower lip before smirking at him. "As for you too... Mrs. Kennedy." He hummed out to her. Claire felt tears welt in her eyes from happiness but to save Leon any worry at all, she just went and rested her head against his chest as they danced continuously.
Around the room of the establishment they got married in, the guests simply watched. Chris, watching his sister in utter awe. Seeing her grown up like this, it's a blessing and a curse. Time can suck. He's just happy he was the one to walk her down the aisle. Jill is a plus one with Chris, sitting beside him. She was in awe too, it's like seeing her baby sister all grown. It's quite the sight to witness.
Sherry is in attendance too. For her, it's like seeing her second parents come together and get married. She couldn't be happier. Admittedly, during the ceremony, she teared up a bit. It's just so great.
As for some of their friends, quite a few are here. The buttons are, all of them, in support of primarily Claire but they know and love Leon too. Barry is proud of Claire for finding a man in which treats her amazingly. Moria is happy too, Claire looks gorgeous and she can't stop admiring her.
Leon has a few friends from his agency in attendance. He has known them for so long, it was almost an obligation to invite them. Ashley Graham and her father are present too, being they've known each other for a while and went through hell and back together. Ashley is glad she came, Leon is happy and for her, that makes her happy. The wedding has been stunning so far, in her words. Graham is proud of Leon, it was about time he settled down with a spunky lady who wasn't a fling.
Overall, their wedding has been fantastic.
As the song slowly came to a close, Claire lifted her head and leaned in, kissing Leon lovingly. He held her waist close and firmly, deepening the kiss with pure gentleness. Honestly, this kiss felt more special than their one at the alter and wow, the one at the alter was spicy!
"Time for my dance with Chris." Claire let off a playful shrug and smiled, smooching Leon's cheek before he spoke, then ambled off to the side. "Ill be watching you." He winked and trailed off, heading over to where Chris once was, having them swap places.

Stepping up the staircase, Claire turned to her right and walked into her's and Leon's bedroom, spotting him on his Dell laptop, most likely catching up on some work. In the later evenings, it was always so quiet, the two kept to themselves. Which wasn't a bad thing, morely it was healthy, they enjoyed it. To much of one person can be tiring, taking breaks is valid and Claire would stand up for that statement any day.
Claire had a vanity in the corner of their bedroom. It held her makeup products and jewelry, in which she wasn't able to wear very often, but it's still good to have around. Especially with the fact Leon works for the D.S.O, they sometimes have to dress up and look presentable, so it's useful for future days.
Moving her small, painted fingernails up to her ears, Claire unclipped her earrings, setting them down into her organized jewelry box. She then unhooked her necklace, straining it away from her neck. Claire's body felt quite tense, it had been a damn rough week for her. Terrasave isn't an easy job, but she can't really be upset with it, she fought to work there.
Walking closer to their shared closet, she went inside of the small room. Claire loved their closet, it was one of the high selling points to her when they were looking for their very own place to call their's. It was compact, but perfect. Plus, Leon barley owns clothes, so it's practically all hers!
The girl grabbed some sleeping clothes, she planned to change into them after she showers, so that afterwards she can just go to sleep. Claire was way more of a morning person, night time wasn't necessarily her thing, she doesn't like the dark and awful things seem to always happen during this time. She'd much rather just sleep the night away.
The man was still on his laptop, keeping to himself, the only sound coming from him was the tapping on his keyboard, which the two of them found oddly satisfying and relaxing. Claire could barley hear it from the closet though, it was inaudible. From the bed though, Leon called out to Claire.
"Hey baby, come here." Leon somewhat shouted out. "Hold on!" Claire yelled back, briskly snatching a pair of panties from the shelf, then walking out of the closet, seeing Leon looking upwards. "Yeah?" Claire asked, her clothes hung on her thin arm. "Just checking on you, I love you." Leon chuckled, taking another glance at her before his eyes were attracted back to his laptop.
"Love you too." Claire chortled, gandering at him again before speaking once more, "I plan to get in the shower here in a bit, care to join me?" Claire asked, smiling seductively before heading towards the edge of the bed Leon was sitting on. Leon's eyes shot up at Claire, he chuckled before talking, "I can try, this report is almost finished up so let me carry on, okay beautiful?" Leon questioned, placing his and on her hip, squishing it lovingly before taking his hand back to his keyboard.
"Take your time." Claire mumbled, leaning down and kissing the top of his hand, taking her free hand and caressing his cheek, feeling his prickly scruff. Leon loved how Claire would touch him, it was so relaxing. Claire ambled into the bathroom, placing her pajamas onto the rack. Their bathroom was quite big, and was once again, one of the selling points of the house. The lofty shower was an eye grabber when they first seen it. It was just very spacious.
Another particular selling point within the bathroom would have to be the double sinks. Leon is just so unorganized, Claire couldn't bare the thought of sharing the same counter space as him. Bless his cluttered soul.
Claire slipped her leggings off, tossing them into the white hamper. As Claire was getting undressed, she remembered she left her slippers in the closet, which she usually wears after she's done showering, it's like a habit. She opened the bathroom door, walking over to the closet and quickly grabbing them, placing her fingers on the top and pinching them.
"You look sexy." Leon teased, seeing her in just a tank top and panties. "You're crazy." Claire laughed, rolling her eyes jokingly before making her way back to the bathroom. Claire fully undressed, her body feeling chilly as the air hit her bare skin. The girl turned the shower on, making it so it's not to hot, nor to cold. Claire begins to feel nauseous if it's too hot, but also can't stand it when it's too cold.
Hopping in the shower, Claire blew out as the water hit her body. Droplets streamed down her body, hitting the drain, never being seen again as they flowed away. Claire dipped her face directly underneath the shower head, allowing the pressured water to hit her face, small bits of the water found it's way into her mouth. Her hair was also getting quite wet, which she didn't mind, she didn't have to wash it today, she did the other day.
As she spun around, Claire felt the heated water fall onto her back, it felt good, especially since her back had felt so tense earlier. All of her body had been sore, but her back always got the worst of it. Reaching for the loofah, Claire heard the bathroom door creak open, and she couldn't help but bite her lip. She already knew it was Leon.
"Hold on babe." Leon grunted out, the sound of his clothes falling to the tile floor could be heard. "Take your time." Claire giggled, scrubbing the body wash onto her arms, it was cherry scented, Claire's always loved the smell of cherries. The soap washed away into the drain, making Claire's arms feel more unblemished than before, it was amazing. Leon then stepped into the shower, standing right behind Claire, placing his hands upon her hips, turning her to face him.
Squealing, Claire chuckled as Leon turned her around, keeping his hands on her hips with gentleness, the shower water falling down onto the both of them. Claire swathed her arms around Leon's neck, her nails scratching the end of his head with carefulness. "You're so pretty." Leon whispered, leaning down and leaving a small smooch on Claire's forehead, not moving for a good five seconds.
"You think so?" Claire asked with a tone that displayed her need for Leon. "I know so." Leon sighed, his hands roaming on her wet, smooth body, eventually reaching her rear, cupping it softly with his vein filled hands. "I want you." Claire whispered, bringing Leon's head closer to hers, indicating she wanted a kiss. Leon snickered and planted his lips on hers, water leaked through their lips, making it feel even more hot.
Leon's hands remained on her ass, squeezing it every so often, their tongues grazing against one another in a sensual make-out. The man pulled Claire into him, feeling her ravishing breasts press against his bulk chest, making him feel beyond horny, Leon couldn't help it, Claire was so alluring. "I love you." Leon spoke clearly, pulling away from the heated kiss, smirking as the water continued to spout over Claire and her tiny frame. "I love you." Claire spoke back.
The girl placed her hands on his chest, caressing it as she gazed into his eyes, the moment was getting so intense ; she absolutely ravaged for moments like these with him, they were special. Claire breathed in deeply as she felt her luscious finger-tips stroke past his V-line, feeling his manhood, and his length, in which Claire loved... A lot.
"Can I?" Claire questioned, biting her lip whilst smiling, staring up at her man. "Mhm, please." Leon answered, smiling at his girl. Claire couldn't help but feel adrenaline and excitement inside her when he said 'yes' to her, she really liked giving Leon hand jobs, the way he'd react was so attractive to her, most women wouldn't enjoy it, but Claire most definitely does.
Taking a hold of his length, Claire began to pump it slowly, looking down at it as she did so, trying to do it perfectly so Leon wouldn't have any complaints. He was so big, the first time Claire ever seen his dick, she thought she wouldn't be able to handle it. "Does that feel good?" Claire asked, her tone low. "Yeah, yeah baby, it does." Leon replied, sighing as he watched his own fiancee jerk him off.
Beaming to herself, Claire continued, stroking his long length in her supple, petite hand, the water pressure was harder now, it dripped on the both of them, they didn't pay much mind to it though as they were entranced by the sexual action happening between them. Leon released a groan, moving his hands from his sides to Claire's cheeks, rubbing them as he looked into her enticing eyes, which only caused Claire to speed up her actions.
"Just like that baby..." Leon grunted out, his erection fully formed now, and it had been literally less than a minute, just goes to show how easily Claire gets Leon turned on. The man placed his right hand on her throat, lightly gripping it as he pulled her in for a kiss, feeling extremely aroused by how fast she was stroking him.
The feeling of Leon pulsing was extraordinary, and sexy, Claire loved it and didn't stop, she only kept going, wanting to finish him off before they got to the real deal. Claire moved her hand along his dick at a more rapid pace, leading to Leon almost losing his breath from the immense pleasure she was giving to him. Leon grasped her small wrist, taking her hand away from his length before talking, "Okay beautiful, that's enough, I don't wanna finish yet." Leon stated, his voice deep.
Claire playfully rolled her eyes, encasing her arms around Leon once again, kissing his cheek, "Okay, we can finish up showering then." Claire spoke with a delighted tone, turning around and reaching for her bar of soap. "I'd rather us do it in here... It's been a while." Leon snickered, his hands rested on her hips as she washed herself up with the bar of soap. "You sure?" Claire teased. "Never been more sure." Leon chuckled, grabbing the bar of soap from her hand and putting it back onto the rack.
Leon grabbed Claire's shoulders and bent her over, with ease of course, making sure not to hurt her. Even more excitement flowed throughout Claire's body, despite them having intercourse often, it was always a pleasant experience that the two of them cherished. "Tell me if you need me to stop babygirl..." Leon muttered, pumping himself a few times as he spoke. "Mhm." Claire replied, holding onto the shower wall, her body was quite flexible so she was able to do this position with no issues.
Putting his hand on her lower back, Leon used his right hand to slip inside of Claire, the shower water helped make it slippery and wet, allowing him to move inside her with ease. Claire let out a noise as she felt every single inch of him go inside her, it felt never ending, until he was deep, Leon didn't wait when it came to sex, he loved going straight for it, although Claire just deals with it, whatever he wants, he'll get, and vice versa.
"Like I said, tell me to stop if needed." Leon made clear, always needing his fiancees consent. He pulled all the way out of her, before pushing back into her core, the feeling was euphoric and Leon couldn't get enough. The girl moaned quietly consistently as the man behind her continued to move in and out, it was such a good feeling, the way her lower half felt was indescribable.
Leon gripped Claire's hips with his hands down, making himself more stable. He felt more and more turned on whenever Claire would make her lustful little noises, they were one of his favorite parts of moments like these, it helps bring him over the edge, which she happens to do so perfectly. "You're my everything." Leon grunted out as he picked up the pace he was moving into her. "You are to me as well." Claire sputtered out, her words unclear due to the amount of pleasure she was receiving.
"You feel amazing... You always do..." He sighed out, his hands slipping down to her rear, fondling it as he continued to pound into her, her walls were tight and made just for Leon. Water continued to pour on the both of them, the heat of the water and the warmth of their sex was a perfect combo, it enhanced the feeling even more, the two of them couldn't help but want even more.
"Leon..." Claire whispered out, holding onto the wall for dear life, which Leon could notice her struggle, but he continued to pound into her, hoping she'd be able to last just a little while longer. "You okay?" Leon groaned out, squeezing her rear as he pushed back into her, going deep inside her again, and again, making her gasp with ecstasy. "Yeah..." Claire muttered out.
Claire held her hands against the humid, wet shower wall, every movement Leon would make only made it harder to keep a hold on, her body was shaking, back arching and her hands could barley keep up with maintaining herself. Leon's hand trickled up her spine, placing it on the back of her neck and holding it firmly, helping the two find stability. With the man gripping the girls neck, he went at a much faster pace now, their skin slapping filled the bathroom, it was all that could be heard along with the water.
"Fuck..." Leon moaned out, throwing his head back as he slammed into Claire again, feeling himself pulse inside of her. The shower slipped down the front of his body, landing between his pelvis area and Claire's butt, making the noise of them slapping against each other even louder. "Come here..." Leon grunted, pulling out quickly and spinning his girl around, picking her up into his arms.
Giggling, Claire immediately wrapped her arms around him and shut her legs around his torso. "Much better." Claire expired, then whimpered as Leon slipped himself back inside of her. "You look so good like this." Leon praised, holding her up by her rear, pumping himself in and out of her at a decent pace, not wanting to finish to early. Claire pressed her forehead against Leon's, water dripping down their faces, honestly making the moment feel dramatic.
She pressed her lips against his, her hands tugging on his hair as she did so. He kissed her back, pushing her up against the wall as he did, repeatedly pounding against her, his lower stomach feeling as though it was filled with fire, he was close, real close. Claire could feel him twitching inside her, causing her walls to contract around his length. "I'm trying to hold out." He said with ambition, then going back to kissing her with passion, complete and utter passion.
There was a deep, aching pit in Claire's stomach, her body felt overstimulated from all the good feelings Leon was giving her, she couldn't take it much longer, she was gonna finish sooner or later. "I'm so close Leon, don't stop." Claire begged out, pulling on his hair as she tucked her head in the crook of his neck, placing sweet, loveable kisses onto his clean throat.
After kissing it for a few seconds, Claire sucked on his neck, licking it too, making sure he could feel how much she thirsted for him and his love making he provided her. Leon moved himself hastily into her, wanting to bring her closer and closer to the peak of pleasure, he wanted to feel her walls tighten around him, it always felt like heaven on earth.
Closing her eyes shut and hiding her face in the crook of his neck, Claire's grip on Leon's body was stronger as she felt her climax overcome her ecstacy, it was unforgettable, the way Leon was making her feel. "Oh..." Claire moaned out, her entire body feeling weak now due to the stimulation, all she felt now was his small movements and the chill felt water coming down on her.
Slamming himself into her a couple more times, Leon felt himself cum inside of Claire, he didn't mean too but it wasn't a huge deal ; he'd just buy her the pill, he has the money. "That was... Wow..." Leon laughed, letting his soft length fall out of Claire, still holding onto her though. "Mhm." Claire tittered, kissing his forehead with pure & utter love. "How about we actually quickly shower now?" Leon questioned, placing Claire back down gently. "Yes, please..." Claire smirked.

It's so lively!" Claire chuckled, looking around the entrance of the Zoo. "Tell me about it." Leon scoffed. He most definitely doesn't prefer being in crowds of people. Claire grabbed ahold of his strong arm, pecking it quickly, "Oh don't be such a grump, it'll be fun." She leaned up and kissed his cheek. He couldn't help but feel his face flush, she really knew what buttons to push.
"You're a princess." Leon teased her, kissing her head. He was out of his comfort zone today. Not only socially, but style too. He's wearing a polo shirt with some jean shorts, that's not his usual attire. Claire is wearing a cute red & white striped top with jean shorts as well, Leon can't help but admire how beautiful she looks. Anytime though, she looks absolutely gorgeous. Leon is constantly finding himself obsessing over her and how she looks.
Walking up to the stand, Leon pulled out his wallet. "Paying to see depressed animals, great." He sighed, handing the money to the worker. The worker rolled her eyes a bit, clearly not liking Leon's snarky remark. Claire slapped his shoulder, letting go of his arm, "Seriously? Be anymore of an ass?" Claire groaned, folding her arms. "Sorry babygirl, I don't think Zoo's are all that." "You aren't even excited to see the wolves?" "Maybe." He smirked, reaching his hand out for her. Claire gave in, of course, sliding her hand against his and holding it.
"Want me to go ahead and grab us a pamphlet?" Claire asked Leon, pointing to the stack of them by some of the souvenir shops. Leon nodded, letting go of her hand slowly before watching her skip off to them. He sighed softly, he wasn't in the best mood. Leon would do anything to appease his wife, hence why he's here, but lately, life has been so rough on him. He especially has a difficult time opening up to Claire but he's trying. Truly, all he wants is to see her smile and be happy, therefore he'll endure his own personal issues.
From where he was standing, he could see a few different enclosures. One has owl's and the other had sloth's, they looked cute. Leon felt bad for them though. Imagine being trapped in a large cage that you'll never be able to leave from. Knowing it's for the greater good though, he tries not to sweat it to much. But if he was an animal, he'd personally despise the situation so much.
Claire ambled back over to Leon, a folded pamphlet in her skinny hand. "Alrighty handsome." She murmured, opening up the complicated folded piece of paper. Leon couldn't help but admire her efforts. "You got it hun?" He said with a teasing tone. Claire scoffed, "I do." She undid the entire thing, shaking it a couple times to straighten it out neatly. "From where we are, the closest would be the llama's and the turtles." Claire said softly, scanning the pamphlet.
"Let's go then." Leon sighed softly, walking alongside Claire as they made their way to the llama's. Llama's are cute, but Leon doesn't want to be spat on. "What's the difference between Llama's and Alpaca's?" "Honey, don't be dense." Claire stated, squeezing his hand playfully as they made their way up to the wooden fenced area. There were only six Llama's, but they were so cute. Claire admired them briefly. "So adorable." Claire giggled, pointing at the cutest one. It was white with a brown spot near the top of it's head. "Just like you." Leon chuckled, gazing down at her.
"Hey, that one looks like you." Leon pointed at the derpy one, causing Claire to scoff. "That was is cute too, so hah." She pinched his arm roughly. They definitely had a way with words together. Claire pulled out her phone and snapped a couple photos of the Llama's, making sure to get each one in each picture. "You plan on developing those?" "Maybe... Depends..." Claire quietly spoke, taking a couple more photos. "Depends on what?" "Well, if they look nice or not or if I end up finding a reason to even print them out." She explained, Leon just nodded in reply.
"Let's go to the Turtle's, shall we?" Claire talked softly, turning the both of them around and immediately spotting where the turtle's were. From where they were strolling, Leon could see the sign that explains what kind of animal they are and some information about them. They were tortoises, not turtle's. Totally different. "Babygirl...?" Leon chuckled out, taking her hand and placing it on the plaque. Claire gandered down and read it before rolling her eyes. "Same thing." "Clearly not." Leon cackled.
"They're so slow." Claire snickered, her head in her hands as she leaned against the railing. "I would hate to be a tortoise." Leon rubbed Claire's back as they looked at the animals. "At the same time, they're cute! Tortoises are old men if they were animals." Claire stated. Leon couldn't help but snicker at her statement, "Is that so?" He chuckled, watching as she moved away and pulled her phone out again. She snapped only one photo this time. "My love?" Leon asked. "Yes babe?" Claire replied. "I love you." He whispered, looking at her intently.
Claire put her phone away, giving him a gentle look before cupping his cheeks in her petite hands, "I love you baby." She whispered, kissing his cheeks all over before letting go of his handsome face. Leon felt his cheeks go pink, why did she have to do that in front of so many people? "Hate when you do that..." Leon grumbled but Claire simply snorted.
"Just over there are the owl's and sloth's, wanna go look?" Claire questioned her husband, wrapping her arm around his. "Yes baby." Leon responded, striding beside her. "Knock knock." "Whose there?" "Who." "Who who?" "Are you an owl?" Claire asked him, biting her lip as she giggled. It took Leon a moment to understand the joke but, he got. "Oh ha ha." Leon chuckled, "You're so cute." "Cute stuff." Claire repeated.
Along the branches, there were many owls. They really seemed to like the dark, they stuck to the shaded areas only. It reminded Claire of Leon, if he was an animal, he'd either be an owl or a wolf. "They look so... Elegant? I guess I don't know how to explain it." Claire said calmly. "No, I get what you're saying sweetheart, they're very magnificent creatures." Leon agreed, his hand resting on her back. Claire was glad he understood, he always does.
She snapped a couple photos, scrolling through them to make sure they were of good quality. "They look great." Leon praised her photography skills. "Thanks... I'd love to buy a camera soon." Claire said softly, her head resting against his bulk shoulder. "I'll buy you one soon." Leon assured her. "Really?" Claire gave him a loving smile, looking up at him. "Anything to appease you babygirl." Leon whispered, pecking the point of her nose. "I'd love that, thank you." Claire murmured.
Claire looked behind her, seeing the adorable sloths hanging from their branches, some of them even sleeping. Now if Claire was an animal, she'd most definitely want to be a sloth, she'd be able to be lazy in the warm sun all day long. It'd be great. "Look how cute!" Claire smiled, pointing at one specific sloth. The sloth was hanging by it's arms and legs, not showing a care in the world. Leon let out a soft chuckle, watching Claire be mesmerized by a silly animal.
"I was a koala for Halloween back in College." Claire giggled, "I know it's not relevant considering this is a sloth but they're sort of similar." She explained. "A sexy koala?" "Yes... My friends were a Grizzly Bear and a Polar Bear." Claire sighed softly, not enjoying the thought of her College years. "Wish I would've known you then." Leon smirked. "Yeah, no you don't." Claire patted his arm as they began to walk further along the pathway of the Zoo.
"Oh baby, the wolves are just up here!" She exclaimed, sliding the pamphlet back into her pocket. Leon nodded, seeing a few of them walking around the enclosure. It was an all black one with vivid gray spots all over it's neck area. It was gorgeous. Very magnificent. "That one is pretty." Leon pointed at it. "I know, right? Gosh, I wish dogs looked like that." "Well, some do, but they are hard to find, I presume." "Sadly." Claire mumbled, taking a photo of the beautiful wolf, it looked so stoic. "If you print the images out, give me that one." Leon said with a husk tone. "Of course." Claire responded.
"Let's steal one." Claire joked, tugging on the bottom of his shirt. "Ok baby, you distract them and I'll grab it." Leon teased, squeezing her slim hip. "We should get a dog though, sooner or later." "I agree honey, it just takes a lot of responsibility and with our jobs, I don't know if it'll work out." Leon whispered to her, caressing her side. Claire nodded sadly, her spirits going low. "A cat would be easier, y'know... They'd be able to go pee and poop inside, we could fill their food and water up extremely, ect." Leon added. Claire gave a slight smile but she was much more of a dog person.
"I guess you're right." Claire heaved softly, looking around the area to see other animals. From where she was, she seen Lions, it immediately made her light up. "Oh, baby, look!" Claire snatched his hand up and was in complete awe by the lion's. Leon chuckled, seeing one of the male lion's rested up on top of a large rock.
The two of them headed up towards the enclosure. There were four different lion's on the inside, two female and two male. Each one of them were stunning. Lion's are the representation of the Leo sign, which is Claire's astrology sign, she feels a personal connection with these animal's. "So pretty." Claire admired all of them. "Once again, just like you." Leon flirted with his wife, his veiny hand ruffling her hair. Claire slightly blushed, biting her lower lip at his sweet words.
"Can't wait til we go home, I wanna take a shower with you." Leon whispered to her, moving his hand away from her soft hair. Claire snorted and leaned up, placing both of her hands on his chest, "Oh really now?" Claire giggled, her smile turning into a grin. "Mhm, how could I not? You look gorgeous today." Leon whispered once again, kissing the top of her head. "If you'd like, we can take a break from the animals and order some food, they have some shops." "Anything you want babygirl, I just want you pleased." Leon mumbled to her, both of his hands on her lower back.
Oddly enough, despite Leon not really wanting to go on this trip, he still did and it wasn't even for himself yet he's beginning to feel better. Seeing Claire all happy and okay cures his personal sadness. He's just been dealing with some shit at work, the only times he's truly ever happy is if he's with Claire, like right now. She's the light of his life. There is no other for him. Their love is truly irrevocable. He just wishes that life without her could also be just as easy as when he's with her. Depending on someone for something as simple as happiness isn't Leon's style.
Leon would open up to Claire more, talk to her about how he feels but he just has such a difficult time doing so. It's not just with her, it's with everybody. He's thought about therapy but he also views it as a waste of money when he can just talk about it with someone for free or bottle it up. It's the little moments like these that help him forget and help him realize how good his life truly is, despite all the bullshit that goes down.
"I'm feeling just some classic American food, like a sloppy cheeseburger or a good hotdog." Claire snickered, holding Leon's hand as they made their way back to the entrance area of the Zoo. "You're easy to please, my love. I remember when you told me your favorite food was a cheeseburger, can't lie, I was surprised." Leon chuckled. "Oh, how come?" "Because I've just never met somebody with common taste." "I see, well, you just can't go wrong with one. But hey, my pallette is quite exotic!" "Oh, I know." Leon replied.
As they re-entered the main area, they spotted the food stands. The one that caught Claire's eye had an icon of a burger on it, immediately causing her mouth to water. "Oh yeah, let's go." Claire laughed, the both of them scurrying over to the food stand. On the side of it, there was a menu. There was all sorts of food, Claire was in heaven. "What are you going to get honey?" He asked as he pulled out his black leather wallet. "The cheeseburger and fries, you?" "Chicken tenders with mac and cheese." He responded, pulling out 35$.
The worker of the stand had a elderly manly smile as he noticed the money Leon had grabbed out, business must be slow. "Just the cheeseburger with fries combo and the chicken tenders with mac and cheese combo." Leon spoke with a friendly tone. The man nodded, placing the cash in the register. Leon and Claire took a seat down at the picnic table, adjusting themselves til they were comfortable.
"After we eat, I just wanna check out a few more enclosures, okay? I really wanna see some bears and tigers." "Sounds good with me babe." Leon stated, interlocking his hands together. The sun was beaming down on both of them, their bodies heating up. They also didn't bring sun screen nor put it on before coming here, yeah, they'd have one helluva time with being sunburnt.
"It's so hot out." Claire whined, resting her head on the table. Leon reached one of his hands out and stroked her hair to the side. "I know babygirl, but at least the breeze feels nice." He comforted her, loving the feeling of her soft and brushed hair. "We should buy a pool." Claire snickered, waiting for Leon's response. "Yeah we do, maybe I'll buy us one soon." Leon assured her, "You're just so needy, huh baby?" He whispered. "Mhm." Claire mumbled out. She was definitely a needy one, but she was easy to please.
Claire relished in the feeling of Leon playing with her hair. It awakened such a comforting feeling in her. She felt safe with him, especially whenever he was touching her in any capacity. Whether it be his hands on her back, her face or her waist, she feels good. She's grateful he's not one of those men who is afraid to be touchy with her, because if he was, she doesn't know if she'd still be with him. But he willingly shows off his obsession with her. Claire is beyond in love with Leon and it shows.
"Mmm, I love you." Claire groaned out. "Love you honey." Leon replied, moving his hand away from her hair as their food was ready. The worker waved them. "One second." Leon grunted as he stood up. He walked over to the stand, taking both of the styrofoam containers in hand. Both smelt great which was awfully surprising considering it's from a food stand. He turnt around to Claire, setting her food in front of her, an enlightened look appearing on her face. She was definitely going to devour that cheeseburger.
Claire popped the top off of the container, the smell of her food infusing into her nostrils. Oh, it smelt great. She immediately grabbed a frie, taking a bite of it and moaning. Leon couldn't help but chuckle at the sight. "Gotta feed my baby before she gets hangry." He teased, sitting across from her. "I have always been a foodie." She responded, taking the top bun off of her burger and placing some fries in it. "You're the first person I've ever seen do that." "Really? It's such a common thing to do."
She took a giant bite from the burger, reveling in the classic taste of it. It made her mouth water and her stomach full, she was so happy to finally get some food into her system. As for Leon, he just ate normally, taking casual bites of his tenders and swifts noms of his mac & cheese, pretty good. "This cheeseburger is so good, better than the ones we had at that restaurant last week!" Claire expressed, taking a mini bite now. "Better be, I paid 15$ for it." He joked, stealing one of her fries.
"Hey, now you gotta give me a bite of your mac and cheese!" Claire put on a playful stern face. Leon snickered, dipping his fork into the creamy noodles and scooping some up for her. Claire quickly snatched a bite, making a high pitched humming noise in reply, "Yum." She mumbled, eating some more of her french fries.
They sat in silence, keeping to themselves as they ate. Claire was... Well... Clearly, enjoying her food. Her cheeseburger was already practically gone, she must've really been hungry. Leon plans on not eating it all and instead bringing it home for later, he's not all to hungry. He can't tell if it's cause he's truly just not ready to eat or if it's his mind not wanting him to. At this point, he often has to force himself to eat, it's rough. Whenever Claire cooks dinner, of course he eats it but most of the time, he's full, or feels full. But for her, he'll do literally anything.
"Damn baby, you can really eat." Leon laughed, admiring her persistence. "Yeah! I was starving hun." Claire giggled, gobbling up her french fries. "You're so adorable." Leon added, taking a couple more bites of his mac and cheese before containing it back up to save for home. "Are you not hungry baby?" Claire had a worrisome tone. "Nah, I'll eat later babygirl but don't rush, continue to eat and if you're still hungry, you can have my food." "Psh, don't worry, I'm already getting full, just let me eat a few more fries." She stated with a glimmer.
As she ate, Claire pulled out her phone, going onto the camera app. "Baby, smile." Claire beamed at the camera, snapping a photo of her & Leon together. Although, he didn't smile, he gave a half assed grin. "Can you ever look like you're happy with me?" Claire scoffed with a chuckle, turning her phone off after viewing the picture. "I'm always happy with you babygirl." Leon whispered, taking another one of her fries and eating it. "I hope so." Claire replied.
Leon put a soft look on his face, concerned with her response. Leon stretched his hand out and took her hand in his, caressing it gently with his thumb. "Baby, you don't actually question my happiness with you, do you?" Leon questioned her, squeezing her hand softly, wanting to hear her answer. "No, I don't, I just really want you to be happy, always." Claire responded, leaning her head down and pressing a loving kiss to his big hand, nuzzling her head against it.
He nodded, stroking her hair a few times before pulling his hand away and standing up. "You all done?" "Yes, here." Claire answered, giving her container to Leon so he could throw it away. Leon took it, turning around swiftly and dropping it into the garbage can. He'd have to carry his styrofoam box around until they leave but he doesn't really mind, they won't be here much longer anyways. Claire also got up, yawning moderately as she took Leon's hand in hers, causing him to feel a warm, happy feeling.
"Let's head to those bears, shall we?" Claire smiled, skipping along the pavement. From where they were, the bears were about a two minute walk away according to the map. "Let's go then." Leon responded. "Do you know what kind of bears there is?" "I'm pretty sure brown bears, that's what it said on the website at least." "Oh, okay, at least it's not polar bears." Leon joked. "They're very devious. Y'know, dolphins are also menaces, they're super evil, sometimes even towards humans." Claire spoke.
Leon knew that but for Claire's sake, he acted like he didn't, "You just know everything, huh?" Leon teased her. Claire tittered at his words.
At the exhibit, Claire was so excited to see the bears. While she was terrified of them, they were just big cuddly babies and if they weren't aggressive, she'd totally have one as a pet. "Oh baby, they're so adorable." Claire voiced, smiling through the thick glass and waving to the bears. They seemed totally uninterested. "They're probably exhausted, all they do is show off to people." "Poor little guy's, alongside the wolves, we've gotta take these guy's too." Claire chortled, lightly tapping her fingers on the glass but not enough for the bears to hear.
"Want me to take the photos this time?" "Sure babe, just my back right pocket." Claire said softly, poking her rear out for him. Leon couldn't help but bite his lip, man he was lucky. "Cute." He scoffed playfully, logging into her phone and opening the camera application. He knew Claire was picky so he'd have to run the photos by her first. "Alright baby, want a photo of each one or...?" "Yeah, each one and one of all of them please."
Obliging, Leon began to click the button, taking a photo of each bear. They were so lazy looking, very peaceful, not a care in the world. "Heh, that one is asleep." Leon chuckled, Claire as well. "Baby, if we were animals, what would we be?" Claire questioned her husband. "Definitely either fish or deer, why?" "Curious on your thoughts. I think we'd be birds and fly free together." Claire whispered, resting her head on his shoulder as he took the final pic, they turned out nicely.
"Onwards and upwards baby." Leon took her hand in his. "Did you take a look at where the tiger enclosure is?" "Just up ahead, then after that we can get going, yeah?" Claire smiled, the sun making their skin feel more heated than ever. Claire was dying to feel the car's AC on her body. "This heat is killing me." She whined again. "We can go to the car now if you want honey." "No... I wanna see the tigers." Claire stated sternly, making sure she already has her phone out. She was set in her ways, as always.
Stepping up the stairs that were made out of concrete, the largest enclosure of them all sat right before them. There were multiple tigers in it, most of them relaxing but there was one baby tiger roaming around. "Holy shit baby, they have a baby!" Claire said in awe, crouching down and smiling at it. The tiger ran up to the glass and pawed at it, it's eyes shiny and pretty. "Sweetie, take a photo." Claire murmured, handing her phone to Leon. He knew this meant so much to her. He took a couple quick images of Claire and the tiny tiger.
"I did it honey." Leon whispered back, sliding her phone into her pocket. Claire giggled as the mama tiger came over, as if to protect it's baby. "Don't worry mama." Claire said softly, her tone soothing. The two tigers just stood there, looking at Claire. They didn't seem aggressive or anything, rather curious. Claire gave them one last smile before slowly standing up, not wanting to make any sudden movements. "You're like mother nature." Leon joked, wrapping his arm around her as she stepped back.
Making eye contact a little longer, Claire took one last photo of the two tigers, in absolute shock by their actions. "They were so precious." Claire giggled, watching as they walked off further into the enclosure. "They seemed to enjoy your company." Leon smiled, kissing her cheek, "Just like I do." He was such a flirt. Claire snorted, taking his hand in hers, "C'mon you dork, let's get to the car, we can stop and look at some more on our way out." She giggled, their hands interlocked.

"It feels like it's been forever since we last seen her, I'm excited." Claire expressed, sitting comfortably in the passenger seat of Leon's car. The two of them were heading to Sherry's school to pick her up. This was their first time ever seeing her together and not only that, it was also their first time picking her up from her private school, she began attending it a little while after the Raccoon City incident. Now she's fourteen years old! Time flys by so quickly.
"Yeah, she's gotten taller too." Leon snickered, his hand resting steadily on the steering wheel as he drove 25 MPH, driving towards her school. It was a high security school system too, they had to bring a signed note and their ID's just in case the staff didn't believe the fact they were family friends to Sherry, that's how bonded they were, like they were a small, loving family. "She really has." Claire exclaimed, pulling down the mirror above her and grabbing her chapstick and lipgloss from her small, red purse.
"So... What do you think all three of us will do once she's here? I'm okay with anything, as long as you two are happy." Leon explained, every so often glancing over at Claire, seeing she was applying lip gloss on, it made her rosey pink lips more shiny looking. "Oh, whatever Sherry wants to do honestly. Off the top of my head though we could do something like getting lunch then afterwards we could take her to the pier, last I seen her she told me she always wanted to ride the ferris wheel there!" Claire stated, placing her belongings back into her purse.
"Sounds fun, we can do that. Where do you think we'd go for lunch?" "Oh either Emmy's Diner or we could check out that new burger spot in town... What was it called again?" Claire asked, a puzzled look plastered on her face. "John's. It's literally just referred to as John's. I think there's more to the name but that's what I've heard a few people call it." Leon explained, hoping she'd understand what he had meant. "I see, makes sense. Whichever Sherry chooses, we'll go there, yeah?" "Of course." He nodded.
"Since when do you wear makeup?" Leon chuckled, taking another glance at her face, his cheeks felt flushed although he couldn't pin down why exactly. "I don't, I just picked this up at the store the other day, it smelt good so, why not?" Claire giggled, popping her lips and turning her head to face the windshield. In front of them, all that was visible were busy streets, pedestrians, bright green grass patches, flowers that were so vibrant and beautiful & more. Claire wasn't much of a city girl, but scenery's around the city were to die for. Leon is way more into the city, definitely was made for it.
"When does she get out of school? I'm sorry if I'm asking a lot of questions, I'm just out of the loop." "No worries and around three p.m, so in like ten minutes, luckily, we're almost there." "How will she know what car to go to?" "I'm sure Derek let her know, he's organized like that." Claire scoffed. She was most definitely not a fan of Derek, who is the current guardian of Sherry after both William and Annette passed away in the Raccoon City incident.
"What's wrong with Derek? Isn't it good he took her in? No one usually does kind-hearted things like that anymore." Leon questioned, he didn't know anything about the man who took Sherry in as his own, but Claire knew more. "I mean... He hasn't done anything wrong in particular. He's just very intimidating and mean sometimes... Not to Sherry but the people who work for them and even me before. I don't know, I guess I don't know enough on him to make that assumption." Claire spoke, sighing softly.
The car was silent for a few final minutes. All that was heard was their quiet breaths of air & the radio playing a quiet tune, it was "Running Down a Dream." By Tom Petty, whom just so happens to be one of Claire's favorite musical artists. Claire hadn't been in the same vehicle with Leon since when she had introduced him to her brother ; that was well over a year ago. The two just lived busy lives and never necessarily had the time to spend one on one time together. Today was a perfect chance to do so, Claire had invited him to see Sherry considering Derek had only ever let her do so before today.
Derek was extremely protective over Sherry and while Claire is thankful for that, she wishes she could understand why. Derek claims he knew William and Annette yet when she asked Sherry if she even met Derek or had even heard of him, she told her she had no clue who he was. Either way, he's kept Sherry safe the past couple years so Claire honestly has no complaints. If she could of had it her way, she would've taken Sherry in. Things just wouldn't have been able to work that way though.
"Which street is her school located on again?" Leon wondered, facing Claire as they were stopped at a red light. "Leon, I literally messaged you all the details, how are you so forgetful?" "Guess that's what happens when I'm so tight on a schedule... Now, Claire, which street?" Leon joked, nudging her before pulling his car foward. "Beau street, like three minutes away. You're gonna wanna go straight until you see that Ikea up town, then go left and you'll see the school, it's pretty hard to miss." Claire directed him to where they'd need to go, she was a smart girl, smart with navigation.
Nodding a few times, Leon kept his eye out for the Ikea just up ahead. "Oh, I forgot to ask you, has my brother Chris contacted you at all?" Claire asked Leon, a somewhat worrisome tone filled her voice. "No... Why? Is he alright?" "Probably, well, I hope. He's been kind of M.I.A. Probably just busy with work though, I shouldn't get myself so worked up." "Yeah... Don't forget what happened last time when you went searching for him..." Leon attempted to make a darker themed joke but Claire just didn't respond. Bad move, Leon.
Leon felt kind of bad after cracking that joke. Claire wasn't the kind of person to take things like that lightly. Leon just uses it as a way to cope. "I'm sorry Claire, I didn't mean it to seem like... Mean or something. I just have a hard time accepting what happened, you know?" "I understand, people respond to trauma in different ways." Claire breathed out deeply. She was such a caring and understanding woman. Leon liked that about her, a lot. Leon found himself admiring Claire for the way she is not only for being caring and understanding, but also everything else that's great about her too.
"I respect you, you know that?" Leon stated, sighing out and hoping she'd understand what he meant. They definitely had a mutual respect for one another but it's on a higher level than just respect. They cherish one another. They get each other. You respect your friends, of course, but these two went through hell and back together, their respect isn't just based by the definition of the word but rather the actions they implemented whilst they've known each other. "You respect me? I'd hope so. I respect you too." Claire giggled, giving him a gleeful smile before turning her head away.
"Yeah, I just respect your way of thinking. Just how you are as a person." Leon spoke quietly, not wanting to seem overbearing. "I appreciate that." Claire said with a hopeful gleem in her eyes ; it was as if she had always wanted to hear words like that come from him specifically. "Oh, just up here is Sherry's school, it's the building with the maroon, brownish roof, it's hard to miss." Claire added, making sure he didn't pass by the school. "Gotcha." Leon responded, keeping a lookout for Sherry's private school.
"I cannot wait to get something to eat, I bet she can't either. I just had avocado toast for breakfast but that was at nine a.m, I need to eat." Claire snorted, comfortably sitting but also not so much due to being ecstatic to see Sherry, she felt fidgety. "Well worry no further, I'll have you two girls fed in no time." Leon chucked her a half smile, it's rare to even manage to get a grin out of him. "Are you going to eat as well? You better Leon." Claire stated sternly, her bossy attitude was attractive but Leon would never say that straight to her.
"We'll see, I haven't ate yet today but then again, I don't have much of an appetite." Leon spoke, turning left after he spotted the Ikea he had been keeping an eye out for. "Oh, so it's just up here, correct?" "Yep, then you're gonna have to show the camera out ID's. Derek told me we can park in front of the school, I'm pretty sure Sherry knows which car we're in too." Claire assured him, while Derek wasn't the best man out there, he made sure their visitation was organized to a T.
As he drove onwards, he seen the dark red colored roof Claire had spoken about. She wasn't kidding when she told him it was huge. How many students do they even need to fit in there? Leon found it to be unnecessary. Then again, rich people make unnecessary financial decisions, for the most part. "So do I pull into this gate up here?" "Yes but you're going to need to stop so the camera can check our ID's." Claire explained carefully. "I don't think this much security is needed but alright." Leon chuckled, snagging his ID from the center console.
The gate was large and black, it look intimidating. It was as if they were about to enter some gothic, mystical castle, but it was just a school for crying out loud. "Give me your ID." Leon requested, holding his hand out to hers. His hand was significantly bigger than hers, he noticed that. "Here you go." Claire whispered, her finger colliding with his hand as she gently placed her ID into it. The man rolled down his driver seat window and looked at the speaker merged into the brick wall along the gate. With it was a small camera, almost like one that would be attached to a doorbell.
A voice began to play, it sounded like artificial intelligence. Is this place fancy enough to afford that? Damn... "When ready, please show your personal ID(s) to the camera above, once done, wait for the clear to proceed forward." The automated voice spoke, it sounded like your average news reporter or receptionist. "What is this techy bullshit?" Leon muttered to himself, taking both his and Claire's ID's, aiming them to face the small camera. He kept them there til a quiet beep noise was heard, then the sound of the gate as it slowly retracted open. "High security my ass." "Well, Leon, the people in the office most likely see our ID's and knew we are here for Sherry." She claimed.
It was currently two-fifty-eight p.m, Sherry will be out any minute. Both of them were glad they were able to do this with her. Sherry didn't deserve what happened to her back in Raccoon City. She was just a little girl. Both Leon and Claire plan to do as much as they can with her to make it up. Sherry views Claire as a sort of mother figure and Leon as a fatherly one, although Derek plays more of a role in that. Either way, Sherry admires them both and is grateful for all they have done for her.
Multiple cars already made their way into the parking lot, taking their place and waiting for their children to be out of school for the day. Leon's never done anything like this before but deep down, it felt sort of nice. It felt like he was a dad. He definitely isn't ready for a child yet but he's contemplated it. He's just never found the right woman. Hopefully in the future he'll be able to. "I feel like a dad picking up his daughter from school." Leon joked, parking his vehicle a couple spots down from the front door that lead out of the school.
"That's funny... Do you ever want kids someday?" "Someday, yeah maybe, but til then, no." Leon stated. "I don't think I'd make a good father." Leon expressed, soughing aloud. "Oh Leon, that's nonsense, I've seen how you are, you would make a good dad, trust me." Claire comforted him, along with her affirming words, she placed her soft, delicate hand upon his as it rested on the center console. "You'd make a great mother, I mean, look how you are with Sherry... Were you ever a babysitter? Like whilst you were in High School or College?" Leon asked, his question genuine. He was curious, that's all.
"Actually, yes! Chris has this friend, Barry, and he has two young girls. Their names were Polly and Moria. Moria was closer in my age but Polly was a whole lot younger. I watched them from time to time and Moria actually wants to join TerraSave eventually. Obviously she can't right now." "I knew it." Leon snickered. He suspected she's always had some experience with children to some capacity. "You're a dork." Claire teased, smiling at him, her cheeks a light pinkish shade.
Interrupting them, a loud ringing bell was heard, indicating school was officially out. "Here we go, tons of kids just flying on out." Leon sighed, making sure he kept a look out for Sherry. It doesn't help at this school, they're forced to wear uniforms. "I was told Sherry has her hair up today with a pink headband so I'll make sure to spot that out." Claire said, rolling down the passenger side window and sticking her head out of it, the relaxing breezy wind instantly hitting her divine facial structure.
Facing the same way as Claire, Leon also made sure to attempt to look for Sherry in the crowd of students. There weren't as many as Leon had expected but still, there was a good chunk of kids running out of the building and searching for their guardians. "Is that her?" Leon pointed to a young girl. "Definitely not, Sherry isn't that tall." Claire snorted, remaining in her same position.
As the last crowd of students came out of the school, Claire soon seen Sherry in all her glory, she looked adorable! Claire was beaming at the fact she was able to see Sherry today, it had been a month or two since the last time she visited her. Sticking her head further out the window, Claire shouted out to the young girl. "Sherry! Sherry, over here! It's me and Leon!" Claire spoke loudly, waving her hand to her, nudging for her to come over to the car. "Claire? Leon!? I'm coming!" Sherry replied, her tone louder as well as she sprinted for the car.
A radiant look was all over Sherry's face. She was clearly glad to see the two of them. Leon clicked the 'unlock' button for the backseat doors, allowing her to enter the car swiftly. Sherry opened the door behind Leon's seat and climbed in, her smile was infectious. "Hi! How was school Sherry?" Claire questioned, facing Sherry and grinning at her kindly. "Claire, why are you guy's?" Sherry completely disregarded Claire's question, she was too excited to even process what she said.
"Well, me and Leon missed you! Did Derek not tell you we were coming to see you?" "No, he just told me to look out for a specific colored car... I didn't expect it to be you guy's!" Sherry exclaimed, her bright cheerful smile was the absolute cutest. "Oh, that's weird, he was supposed to. Either way, aren't you happy to see us?" "Very much so. Hi Leon!" Sherry spoke sweetly, buckling herself in. "Hey Sher-Bear, how are you and how was school?" Damn, he really was talking like he was a father.
"I'm great and school was okay, just learning about ecosystems, which I love animals so." Sherry spoke, she was so cute when talking about things she enjoyed! "That sounds entertaining." Leon spoke, trying to have glee in his voice but he just isn't great with his emotions. After a couple moments of silent, Claire began to speak and explain what they were going to do for the day. "So, Sherry, we were thinking we could go get some lunch and afterwards go to that ferris wheel on the pier you were telling me all about, does that sound like a plan?" Claire asked, her lips curled into a gentle smirk. "Oh, yes, yes it does, I'm very hungry and I think the lights on the ferris wheel will be on by then!" Sherry was clearly delighted with the idea Claire presented.
"To begin, where would you like to eat? We can either go to Emmy's Diner or that new burger place, John's. Have you been to either before?" Claire asked, wanting to see if she's had experience at either or. "No, neither actually... What's at Emmy's?" Sherry wondered. "So, they have practically everything. Any food, you name it, I guarantee they have it." "And what does John's have?" "Off the top of my head, they mostly serve meats as in burgers, hot dogs, tenders and more. Not as much of a variety." Claire stated. "We can do Emmy's then!" Sherry chose the spot they were going to eat at. "Alrighty then, sounds good." Claire responded, turning back to face the front of the car, buckling back up.
"Emmy's is out by the local Church, yeah?" Leon asked Claire, beginning to drive out of the parking lot and back out onto the road. "Yes, it's just across from it. That's why they host so many events there. Sherry, does Derek take you to Church?" Claire questioned her, wanting to check out whether or not Derek had religious beliefs. "Oh, Church? Sometimes. Usually though he just goes there to talk to some random men, I just usually sit in the front area." Sherry told Claire, it made her a bit skeptical. "Ok then..." Claire tittered out, wondering who these men were and why of all places Derek was deciding to meet them at a Church.
"By the way Sherry, just so you don't worry, Derek said he'll pick you up from the pier once we're all done, okay?" "That's fine." Sherry replied, placing her backpack down on the floor of the car, facing forward and seeing the buildings fly by as Leon drove them to the diner. "I am so hungry, I can't wait to eat." Claire expressed, gazing at Sherry through the mirror. "Me too!" "What did you eat at school?" Leon asked Sherry, wondering if she even got to eat anything. "Well, I didn't really eat anything. I just had string cheese and a few apple slices." Sherry responded. "I don't eat at school, I usually wait till Derek gives me a snack at home or gets me dinner." Leon and Claire stayed silent momentarily.
"Does he feed you everyday? At least dinner?" Leon questioned. Leon wasn't so sure of this Derek guy, he wanted to make sure he was taking proper care of Sherry. "Yes, sometimes he just tells me to wait until breakfast though but that's rare." Sherry vocalized. "Are you saying you sometimes come home from school and just don't eat?" "Well, yeah, it's fine though, I always get breakfast." Sherry tried to console what she had said but Leon was going to have a serious word with Derek.
After Sherry finished talking, Claire gave Leon a very particular glare, as if she was upset. "We'll get it figured out." Leon whispered to Claire, moving his hand from the steering wheel and to squeeze her hand for a second before moving it back, using both hands to steer. "Yes, yes we will." Claire uttered quietly to him. Claire was suddenly in a different mood ; it was as if someone had disturbed a mama bear protecting her baby cub.
"Emmy's Diner is just up here, turn right at the post." Claire spoke louder now, not wanting to seem as though her and Leon were being secretive. "Alrighty..." Leon mumbled, getting ready to turn right. "You ready to get some food in your belly?" Claire asked Sherry, lightening the mood as much as she could. "Yes, I really am. I wonder what I'll eat." "You can get anything you'd like, it's on us." Claire responded, giving Sherry a lot of freedom. This was all about her, Claire will always try her best to make hers and Sherry's time together. Well, now hers, Leon's and Sherry's!
Once Leon reached the post, he turned right and spotted the diner they had decided to dine in at. "Do I just park alongside the road?" "Yes, just make sure you don't hit the curb." Claire tittered, pointing to the curb right by the parking spaces. "I have hit one to many curbs in my lifetime, sometimes I wonder how I haven't gotten my licence revoked." Leon chuckled. Claire and Sherry both let out small laughs. Leon felt accomplished with the fact the two found him amusing.
Parking the car in a diagonal position, Leon took his keys out of the ignition and placed them into his leather jacket pocket, glancing at both Claire and Sherry. "You two ready?" Leon asked, his tone friendly. "Yes." The two of them spoke in unison. The man nodded and opened his car door first, then he opened up the young girls door. As Sherry got out, she stretched her legs and viewed the area they were in. She was never downtown much and it felt like a whole new world.
Leon jogged over to Claire's door, opening it for her and helping her out of his car. "I guess chivalry isn't dead." Claire snickered, taking a hair tie from her purse and pulling her healthy, brushed hair into a ponytail. "Claire, you're so pretty!" Sherry admired her openly. Little girls always have a tendency to look up to the beauty of women around them. It's adorable. "Aw, thank you Sherry, you're a cutie." Claire complimented her back, patting her head with a gentle touch.
Pushing the doors open, Leon allowed Claire and Sherry to walk into the diner first before he then followed behind them. It was packed on the inside. The sound of workers speaking to customers was heard almost immediately after entering the establishment. Great, tasty aromas were filling the building, just one deep breath almost felt as though you were eating rather than just sniffing it. Forks and plates clanked all over, either from locals eating or waiters/waitresses bussing a table.
The walls were decorated too. The diner had been around for many years, both Leon and Claire have been here before but it had been so long. There has definitely been some updates and adjustments. The walls had random paintings all over them. One wall that was visible when you first enter in had a train on it, along with a wooden platform featuring people traversing onto it and or off of it. Whilst another wall featured a snowy pathway with lamp posts littered all along it.
There were no tables that were in the center of the room, each table was drilled into the wall like a booth, each seating arrangement was a couch-like seat, a cushion if you will. Practically, all the tables were booths. The diner was old school but not to the extent of the fifties. "Let's go get a table." Leon spoke to them, leading them to the back area of the diner. He spotted a perfect table near a open window, a light flowy breeze slithering through the crack of it. It was gonna be extremely nice to sit by.
Claire and Sherry sat side by side while Leon sat across from them, he allowed the girls to take the breezy side, wanting them to be as comfortable as possible. He was a noble man. "Where are menus?" Sherry asked, seeing the empty table that only had a salt and pepper shaker on it. "Oh sweetheart, this isn't like other restaurants, we just have to wait for a waitress or waiter to come up to us." Claire spoke kindly to her, helping her understand.
"Have you decided whether or not you're going to eat?" Claire asked Leon, giving him a kind gaze. "Yeah, why not? I'd rather eat now than later, Lord knows I hate cooking." "Good to hear." Claire chortled, glancing at Sherry. "I haven't been here in quite some time. I usually just cook at home or I'll eat over at a friend's." Claire spoke, looking out the window. Large buildings were everywhere in the city, they were mesmerizing.
As the three of them were conversing, a waitress walked over to their booth. Her name tag read, 'Candice'. "Hi, I'm Candice and I'm going to be your waitress this afternoon, I'll leave you three to scan over the menus but before I leave, do you know what you'd like to drink? Our options vary from water, to soda and for the little ones, juice or chocolate milk." Candice spoke, she had a bubbly aura to her.
Claire began to speak considering she was the most extroverted out of them all, "I'll just take a water and Sherry, what would you like?" "Apple juice, please." Sherry requested with a sweet tone. Candice was writing down their orders, then turned her head to Leon. "I'll just have a Coke, non diet please." Leon stated, he seemed awkward but maybe he just struggled socially. "Okay, I'll have those out to you here soon, in the mean time, please take your time and decide what you three would like to eat." The waitress spoke, nodding speedily before trotting off to the back.
"Okay Sherry, let's start with you, anything on that menu sound interesting? If you don't want a younger kids meal, I'm more than glad to get you something else." Claire offered, wanting to allow Sherry to continuously have that freedom she mentioned earlier. "No, that's okay! I'd like the fish sticks with a side of fries, if that's okay..." Sherry spoke shyly, both Leon and Claire found it sweet, her manners were off the charts.
"Well of course that's okay! Tell you what, I'll get you ice cream at the pier to, how does that sound?" Claire said with a smile on her beautiful face. "I'd like that so much." Sherry admitted. Claire nodded with glee before taking a look at the menu herself. "They have a lot of options, I honestly can't decide. Have you decided yet, Leon?" "Not yet, I am debating between a burger or a country fried steak though." Leon contemplated. "Okay." Claire uttered back.
Both of them eyed down the menus a bit longer, choosing what meal they wanted to order before Candice came back around. "Yeah, you know what, I'll get the Mongolian style beef with broccoli, I didn't think they'd have it here but it's pretty tasty from what I remember. How about you?" Claire spoke, then questioning Leon. "I've settled on the country fried steak, it comes with some vegetables so balance." He snickered, smirking at her. His smirk left a warm feeling within her.
"Okay, okay, all settled." Claire said with a relieved tone. "Sherry, I didn't take you as the type to like fish." Claire randomly brought the thought up. "Oh, yeah, my mom used to make me fish sticks, I like them a lot. I miss hers." Sherry spoke, her tone glum. "Oh, I see, I'm glad you have that memory of your mother, sweetheart." Claire whispered to her, giving her a melancholy gaze. "Your mother loved you Sherry." Leon spoke up, intervening with the conversation. Sherry gave Leon a look of peace, as if what he had said stuck with her.
Breaking the tension of the heart breaking but also warming moment, their waitress had arrived with all three of their drinks. "A juice for you, a Coke for you and a water for you." She mumbled out, placing her hands on her hips and snatching out her notepad. "Have you all chosen what it is you'd like to order?" "Uh, yes, we have." Claire cleared her throat before speaking again, "She would like the kid's meal of fish sticks with a side of french fries and Sherry, what sauce would you want with those?" "Ketchup please and thank you." Sherry spoke softly.
Continuing to keep her eyes on the paper, Candice wrote down Sherry's entire order. "How about you now?" "Yes, I would like the Mongolian style beef with broccoli please, light with the sauce, I always get a terrible stomach ache afterwards." Claire snorted, giving her order in a humorous manner. "I feel you on that. Now how about you sir?" Candice asked Leon. Leon hadn't really been focusing on them at the moment, rather he was deep in thought. So when Candice called for him, it took a second for it to click. It was like he was in some sort of trance. "Oh, yeah, sorry, come again?"
"My bad sir, I was wondering what it is you've decided to order?" "Oh, no, apologies, I would like the country fried steak with a side of the vegetable mix." Leon established his order, talking moderately so she could get it all written down. "Okie dokie then, thank you for your time, your food should be out shortly, if you need any further assistance, any waitress is available to accommodate your needs." Candice said before ambling off to another booth in need of service.
Claire was concerned about Leon. He had seemed as though he was out of it. Like something very peculiar was on his mind. "You okay?" Claire asked him. "Yeah, course I am, just some stuff is on my mind." Leon admitted but had a delightful tone so Claire just dealt with it. "If you say so." Claire replied. "Claire, I have to use the bathroom." Sherry said with a hushed voice. "Oh, I don't know where that is, Leon, do you?" "Yeah, Sher-bear, it's back there to the left, do you need help?" "No thank you, I'll be back in a moment." Sherry got up and went down to the restroom.
"Leon, are you sure everything is okay?" Claire asked, her tone worrisome. "Yeah Claire, just stressed about work, nothing you need to worry about." "You're so stubborn." Claire snickered. "Says you." Leon teased her, giving her a slight smile. "Not as stubborn as you though." Claire smiled, her eyes were so easy to get lost in, Leon couldn't help himself. "For what it's worth, being with you... And Sherry, of course, keeps my mind off of it all, for the most part." Leon spoke with truthfulness. He struggled being affectionate, it's hard now. "I feel the same way." Claire responded.
The two took a moment and gazed at one another. It didn't feel awkward. It just felt like it was needed. It felt like it was just them and no one else. Claire felt safe with Leon and vice versa. It was hard to come to terms with the fact they had to trust one another ; they both have difficult trust issues after everything that has happened. "I think you're great Leon." Claire said, her tone sweet. "I think you're even greater." Leon chuckled, looking away from her now, studying the restaurant around them.
Neither of them spoke for a good bit but the silence was shattered when Candice came over with all of their food. "Alrighty, here is your country fried steak with vegetables, hope you enjoy." Candice said, earnest filled her vocal cords. "Here is your Mongolian style beef with broccoli, light on the sauce too and here is the young lady's fish sticks with fries, is she still here?" "Yes, she's just in the lady's room." Claire responded, nodding politely. "Okay, that's fine! Well, I hope you all enjoy your meals and feel free to wave me over if you need anything else." Candice then walked away for the final time.
"It looks good." Claire said, practically foaming at the mouth. "It does, I agree. Let's wait till Sherry's back though." Leon stated, he was a gentleman at heart. "Totally, my food needs to cool down anyways, look at that steam." Claire's astonished tone was rather cute. "I see it." Leon replied. "I hope Sherry likes her food. I mean, out of all she could've gotten, she chose fish sticks." Claire giggled. "To each their own though." She followed up.
Footsteps were heard and Sherry was now visible again as she treaded back to the booth. "I'm back." Sherry said with a timid tone. "It smells so yummy." She denoted. "It sure does." Leon added onto her statement. "We can all eat now." Claire cleared, taking her fork and picking through her food. Leon cut up his steak and took small chunks of it into his mouth, chewing thoroughly. "Yeah, I needed that." Leon tittered, breathing in the fumes of his steak. Sherry dipped her fish stick into the sauce and took a decent bite, it was clear she needed some food in her system. "Best fish sticks I've had in awhile... Though, it could never compare to my mom's." Sherry made a point.
Claire took a bite of the beef with a broccoli floret attached to it. It tasted amazing, Claire was surprised the cooks pulled it off. It's one of her favorite foods so she's more than glad to devour this meal. "Really good. I wanna learn how to make Mongolian style beef with broccoli, I just wanna cook in general." Claire stated, her index finger curled in front of her lips as she chewed. "I'm learning how to cook right now and soon enough, I'll get into a cooking class at school!" Sherry spoke with happiness. "Oh really? What's your favorite thing to cook as of current?" Claire questioned. "Definitely pancakes." Sherry shirked. "Oh yeah." Leon laughed, taking a bite of some carrots.
"What're you learning to cook right now?" Claire wondered. "Right now, Derek is having me learn cake, it's the first sweet treat I'm learning to cook. I love chocolate cake." Sherry admired the sound of it. "Chocolate flavored anything is delicious." Leon agreed. "You two are crazy, vanilla is the way to go." Claire butted in, standing her ground. "No way!" Sherry snickered, Leon nodded in agreement. "Weirdos." Claire snorted, taking another bite of her food.
One thing all three of them could agree on was that moments like these would be remembered forever. Especially for Sherry, these two saved her life and they were extremely selfless towards her, risking their own lives to save her and take good care of her. Sherry considers them to be parental figures to her, especially Claire but Leon also means a lot to her. Claire is just the one she's closer to.
"Wanna try a bite Sherry? I know you like broccoli." Claire offered, a piece of beef and broccoli were stabbed into the fork. "Sure!" Sherry nodded, taking a swift bite of it and determining whether it was good or not. "I like it, it's just chewy." "I like the chewiness of it, it's tender, I love it." Claire said happily. "You wanna try, Leon?" "No, I do not like the sauce used for it, it's too thick." Leon chuckled, taking a bite of his steak, it was perfectly seasoned. "Exactly why I ask for light sauce." Claire nodded in response. It's like they think alike.

The three of them took their time eating their food and conversing among each other. It was a great time. Sherry eased in to the hang-out quite easily and felt comfort knowing she had Leon and Claire by her side. Sherry felt anxious when Leon and Claire had first picked her up from school ; it's not because she's uncomfortable with them, she just has a hard time adjusting to different environments, it was just so much more different with both of them and all three of them going out together.
"I cannot finish these fish sticks and fries." Sherry tittered, grabbing a napkin and wiping her face and hands. Both Leon and Claire had downed their food, they were very hungry. "That's okay, we can get you a to-go box, how's that sound?" Claire wondered. "That's fine by me." Sherry spoke out. Claire waved her hand to signal the waitress. Candice wandered over to them with a bright smile.
"What can I get you guy's?" Candice asked, grabbing Leon and Claire's empty plates, noticing Sherry's wasn't. "Hi, we just need a to-go box for her." Claire said, giving Candice a half smile. Candice nodded and stepped off to take the plates away and grab Sherry her styrofoam box. "Okay Sherry, would you still like to go to the pier and ride the Ferris wheel?" Claire questioned her, her head resting on her hand. "Yes, that would be nice. Can we still get ice cream?" "Oh, yes, you can, I'm way to full for some." Claire cackled, her stomach was full finally.
"Will you get ice cream Leon?" Sherry asked him, her smile was full of elation. "Maybe, I usually don't have sweets but if you can convince me enough, maybe." Leon chuckled, giving Sherry an ultimatum. The sun was getting closer to setting due to daylight savings, it was gorgeous outside. The sky was a sunny yellow with tints of orange and pink throughout the sky. It was picture worthy even. "Look how pretty the sky is." Claire pointed out, admiring it. "Yeah, it is alluring." Leon commented. "Sunsets are so beautiful." Sherry added.
Candice ambled back over with the check and a container for Sherry to use. "Here you go, little one. And here you two go, the check, take your time." Candice announced, smiling softly before walking back off to continue working. "I can pay for it all." Claire said, reaching for her wallet. "No, it's okay, I got the most expensive meal so allow me." Leon spoke. "Leon, it's totally okay, it's on me." "No, let me." Leon insisted, reaching for a couple bills and sliding them into the check book. "If you say so but next time, I'll pay." "Deal." Leon winked at her.
Sherry placed her food into the container, making sure the food didn't touch and it was organized enough to her appeal. "Ready?" Claire asked the two of them. "Ready!" Sherry exclaimed, practically jumping out of the booth and beginning to head out of the diners door. All three of them had a great time together and were more than happy to continue it. Together.

It was a late night, around 6:30 PM, which is the time where both Claire & Leon are able to spend some time together since from 5ish AM to 4:30ish PM, they're both at work. Leon works for the D.S.O, a company that helps protect the world from any and all attacks, it also specializes in protecting the president. It is a very elite job but it wasn't necessarily Leon's choice to work there in the first place.
As for Claire though, she works at TerraSave, which isn't as elite as the D.S.O is. TerraSave specializes in helping with the aftermath of B.O.W attacks, sometimes even global attacks. TerraSave isn't as time consuming either ; there are days where Claire is at home, all alone, just waiting for Leon to come home to her. She isn't the clingy type but it can get lonely sometimes.
Leon's position at the D.S.O is a secret agent, he simply just works in the fields. Claire is a representative for TerraSave. She sort of helped found the company. She does all sorts of work for TerraSave. It's safe to say unlike Leon, Claire does enjoy her job and makes the best of it. Then again, unlike Leon, Claire wasn't forced to work for TerraSave, she had a choice. Either way, they both have each other to motivate one another, Leon has stated more than once that Claire is who keeps him going and vice versa.
Considering it's a Friday and both of them are officially out of work, Leon & Claire feel free, which is such a rare feeling for them. Claire can't remember the last time she was able to just lie down in bed and watch a TV show, it feels so strange to her. It's an unfamiliar task to her. She's currently watching 'Brooklyn 99', it's a sitcom that was recommended to her by Moria, a close friend of hers whom also happens to work at TerraSave with her!
Whilst Claire is watching her show, Leon is in the shower. Sometimes the two of them shower together but they but know that whenever that happens, cleaning themselves never actually gets done... So that's why Claire let him do it alone this time. They also value being apart at times. Not because they're losing love for one another or because they're sick of each other, it's simply because it's healthy! It gives you time to yourself, time to think and besides, being around the same person for to long can lead to internalized irritation for said person.
Claire was cuddled up beneath the blankets, their bed was absolutely cluttered. Claire gets cold easily, she can't help but have at least three blankets on the bed at all times. It also just makes her feel safe. Whenever she's doing something vulnerable, such as laying in bed and watching a show, it makes her feel more secure to be covered by hefty blankets. Although, in a real serious situation, that would do her more bad than good. But just for watching some silly show, it worked.
From the bedroom, Leon & Claire's shared bathroom was connected to it, right by their closet there is a door that leads to it. Claire could hear random noises as Leon showered, she could mainly hear the sound of the rapid water spouting out from the head of it. The TV was louder though and surprisingly, the show was quite humorous. Claire actually used to make fun of sitcoms, she found them tacky & boring but this one was good. Moria has great taste.
A little while after, whilst Claire was still watching the show, she heard the shower switch off. She felt warmth form within her stomach knowing she'd get to see Leon. Especially with his hair wet... She loves it. Anyhow, she continued to watch her show, not wanting to seem like she was yearning for him, despite the fact she was. She loves him so very much. Claire honestly becomes feral anytime he gets out of the shower ; she believes that's when he looks his ultimate best.
Hearing the restroom door open, Claire shifted her head to face it, her eyes fixating on Leon as he walked out. Man, he looked good. He wasn't even dressed yet, only having a towel around his waist. His shredded arms were on display for Claire's eyes & his abs were squeaky clean, practically shining. His hair was a bit long, longer than usual, but whenever it's wet, Claire goes crazy. This is exactly what she meant. He is hot.
Leon turned to face Claire, a gentle grin forming on his handsome face, "Hey babygirl." Leon spoke to Claire, walking towards the bed. "Whatcha doing?" Leon asked her, sitting down on the edge of the bed. "Hi handsome." Claire gave him a radiant smile. "Just watching a show, the one Moria recommended to me." "Brooklyn 99?" "Yeah, that's the one." Claire replied, tittering to herself. "I see... Do you plan on taking a shower tonight?" "Possibly? I don't know yet... I'm kinda tired." Claire giggled, her hands resting in her lap as she sat criss cross. "Alrighty hun." Leon nodded.
"Was your shower nice?" Claire questioned, getting up on her knees and scooching closer to him. "Yes, my love, it was but do you wanna know what would've made it more enjoyable?" Leon immediately had a cocky smirk plastered across his face. "Hmm, I wonder...?" Claire said sarcastically, laying her head in his lap with a cute smile ridden on her beautiful face. "You get me." Leon stated with a genuine smile. "I always will." Claire responded, her left hand holding onto his right arm. "You're so pretty." Leon complimented her, studying her face. "You're very handsome." Claire chuckled, patting his arm a few times.
Gandering down at her a little longer, Leon felt happy. Her heartbeat always increases whenever he's around her, even with the fact they've been married for two years and have known one another since the '90s. That right there is how he knows she is the one for him. She is the love of his life. Sure, there have been others he's loved & yeah, he thought he was in love with them but no, it's always been her. It's always going to be Claire. "I wouldn't trade you for the world... Even when you are a pain in my ass." Leon laughed, caressing her cheek with loving strokes. "Oh haha." Claire vocalized with a cocky voice.
The two sat in silence for a minute or so before Claire sat back up and stood up off of the bed, placing her hands on her hips. "Wanna order some takeout for dinner? Not really in the mood to cook." Claire asked whilst establishing how she felt. "Fine by me, what would you like?" Leon questioned her, standing up alongside her as well. "Honestly, Either Chinese or Thai, either or is okay with me." Claire shook her head slowly, just imaging the flourishing tastes of both cultural food. "Definitely Thai then, we have Chinese way to frequently." Leon chortled, shaking his head & making his way to their shared closet.
"I'll order some here in a bit then, okay?" Claire reasoned with him as she ambled into the closet too. "Yeah, alright sweetheart." Leon cleared his throat, turning the closet light on. "Gonna watch me get dressed?" Leon snickered, winking at her seductively. "Better show than the one I was watching." Claire giggled softly, sitting on the platform where their shoes are usually set on. "Oh yeah baby, I have a question." Leon stated. "Yes baby? Ask away!" Claire said lovingly, gazing up at him, her leg tossed up on her other leg. "Well..." He muttered as he went through the rack of his shirts. "I was wondering if you'd cut my hair tonight... Morely just a trim. It's getting too long for my liking." Leon went on, leaving Claire laughing to herself.
"Jesus Leon, are you serious? I've never even cut my own hair before so what makes you think I can do yours?" Claire cackled, her stomach begining to hurt from how much she was laughing. "I am willing to be your test subject." Leon snickered, grabbing a long sleeve grey shirt from the rack and slipping it on. It hugged his body perfectly. You could literally see his ab imprints on it. "Oh baby, I don't think I'd do well." Claire shrieked out a bit more, not believing the fact he genuinely asked her that. "Red, if you can repair a motorcycle all on your own, fight literal B.O.W.S & put up with my ass all in the same week, I promise you, you can trim my hair." Leon assured her with a side of cockiness flowing through his tone.
"If you say so..." Claire heaved heavily. "I'll finish getting dressed, how about you go and set up a chair in the kitchen by the sink and find the scissors, yeah?" Leon questioned, his hand holding her chin firmly, forcing her to gaze up at him. "Mhm." Claire mumbled back. "Good, go do that sweetheart." Leon requested, letting go of her face and looking in his personal drawer for some sweatpants to throw on. Claire nodded and got up, making her way to their kitchen.
The house Claire & Leon owned was large. People often even said it's like a mansion, though they disagree. Their home is in a woodsy area & has a craftsman feel to it, it fits both of their styles in seperate ways. Stone & wood were primary materials used on their home as well. They both loved the house the second they seen it. It was pricy but overall worth it! The economy wasn't at an all time low either when they bought it, they don't even wanna think about what the price would be nowadays...
Striding over to the dining table, she grabbed ahold of one of the many chairs set at the table and brought it over to the island counters sink, placing it neatly & directly in front of it. She may have to get Leon's hair a little more damp so the sink is useful. "That should do it." Claire muttered to herself and then decided to make her way to their bathroom. Somewhere within it, there were scissors, but Claire had absolutely no clue where.
As she entered back into their bedroom, she seen Leon convoy out of the closet. "Got the chair set up, now I just need to find the scissors." Claire shared, crossing her arms across her chest. "Okay babygirl, I'll be waiting." Leon leered at her, planting a sweet kiss upon her smooth cheek. "M'kay." Claire whispered to herself as he left the room. "Right." Claire uttered, getting herself back on track. She already knew she was gonna have one helluva time attempting to find them.
Ambling on into the bathroom, Claire deeply sighed and clicked on the mirror above the sink, it opened and all Claire could see were perfumes and razors. No luck here. She actually has no idea where the hair scissors may be. There is a fine difference between paper scissors & hair scissors and Claire was going to try her absolute best to not mess up Leon's hair. She didn't need her husband looking like a fool & it being on her account.
Crouching down, Claire could feel how cold the bathroom tiles were, she remembers growing up in the orphanage, she'd always hide in the bathrooms and sit on the crisp flooring to hide away from everyone else. It brings her back, despite the memories not being the best. She opened the cupboards attached to the sink but still there was nothing in there besides pipes and random toiletries.
Standing back up & turning around, she began to rummage through the straw basket that was placed on the back of the toilet. With the small amount of luck she still had, she was finally able to find the scissors. "There we go..." Claire expressed aloud, holding them downwards as she was taught growing up. "I found them handsome!" Claire shouted out to Leon as she strolled out of the bathroom for the last time. "Good job!" Leon yelled back, chuckling alongside what he said. He knew she could do it.
Leon sat down in the chair Claire had set for him as he ran his fingers through his hair & tapped his foot repeatedly, waiting for Claire to come to him. He personally thought Claire was overreacting ; it is just hair after all... Either way, he has trust & confidence in her. She's got this. "I hope I don't fuck up your hair." Claire mumbled out as she entered the kitchen, pulling the scissors open. "You need to calm down babe, you got this." Leon snickered, watching her as she walked towards him, her hips swaying side to side so effortlessly.
"We'll see." Claire laughed, now standing in front of him. "I'll start with the front, come here." She stated, moving closer to him. With her left hand, she stroked it through his hair & grabbed strands of it between her fingers. "God, please help me." She whispered before she then cut along the edges of his damp, healthy hair. The snippets of hair fell onto Leon's lap but he just wiped them off. "Just a trim is all I want beautiful." He reminded her, placing his hand on her hip and caressing it.
"I know baby, stay still." Claire requested, cutting off more strands of his locks, she was really surprised at the fact it didn't look bad but she most definitely wasn't about to get her hopes up. "You look so good right now..." Leon praised her with the most cocky smirk ever. Leon was always flirting with her and never fails to make her feel some type of way... "Oh yeah?" Claire giggled, continuing to snip off slivers of his hair. "Yeah... You know, guys at work have literally asked me how I managed to get you to be my wife... You wanna know what I always tell them?" "What's that hun?" Claire questioned with a sly smile.
"I tell them, "By simply being such a hunk..."." "Oh really now? Well, maybe that is how you were able to snatch me right up & make me your wife... That may be the answer!" Claire spoke sarcastically, peeping down at him. "Ok, I think I am done with your bangs & what not, turn your head honey." Claire asked of him, placing both hands on his head and shifting it. "Yes ma'am." Leon chuckled. She began to cut more hair off, being very careful though, she didn't wanna make the slightest mistake.
"I love that you've grown out your hair... Suits you so well..." Claire complimented him as she focused on the snipping. "You think so? Sometimes I miss my short hair." Leon responded, pondering to himself. "I remember how your hair was when I first met you... You were so cute, but you're so handsome now... There's a difference." Claire snorted. "Hey now, you told me you thought I was the cutest guy you'd ever seen so don't act like I wasn't." "Hey! My case still stands... You are and always have been the cutest man I've ever seen. All I'm saying is, is that now you've got a look to ya... An older man look, you're handsome & sexy." Claire expressed, adorable giggles released from her in-between words. "I'll let it slide babe." Leon chortled.
"Speaking of, you should wear your hair down more often... I absolutely love it." Leon said with a happy voice. "I love when you have it up as well... I'm not picky." Leon tittered, keeping his head as still as he could. "I just feel more confident with it in a ponytail, y'know? I'm trying to get used to wearing it down more though, a lot of people have complimented it." Claire explained. Leon knew of her insecurities with her hair but to him, it didn't matter. She was gorgeous no matter what. "To me, no matter how you look, you're always my beautiful girl." Leon spoke with tenderness. "I'm glad." Claire replied.
"I almost have this side finished, your hair is just very layered." Claire vocalized. "Gotcha baby, take your time." Leon responded, tapping his foot on the dark wood floor lightly. "We still ordering food tonight?" "Definitely. After all this labor, I'm gonna need to eat." Claire tittered. "Oh right, cause this is such hard work..." Leon replied playfully. Their humor complimented each other well. Claire gets irritated with his attitude at times but for the most part, it's honestly one thing that brought them together. Their relationship is built onto it among other stuff too.
"Okay, this side is complete! Turn your head again honey." Claire stated. Leon obliged, turning his head and now, he was able to face her. "Gosh you're so beautiful." Leon grinned up at her, placing his hands onto her waist, squeezing it with a firm amount of pressure. "Oh hush, let me focus." Claire snickered, cutting away even more. "I'm serious... Just look at you, Red, you're so perfect." Leon praised her. What would the word be to describe Leon's thing for Claire? It would be obsession. He is undoubtedly obsessed with her and rightfully so.
"You're insane." Claire laughed, biting her lip as she attempted to hold back a goofy smile. "I love you Claire." Leon whispered to her, still trying to stay still, he knew if he moved too much he'd receive a smack to the back of the head. "I love you too." Claire replied to his touching words. "Your hair has gotten too dry, hold on." Claire added, putting the scissors down for a moment to turn the nozzle of the sink on. "Do you need me to lay my head back?" "No, no, I'll just do it, stay in that exact position." Claire said softly, her face was so divine, Leon could not take his eyes off of her.
Running her hand under the water, Claire allowed it to get wet enough before patting it on Leon's hair. "Just one more time..." Claire spoke with a concentrated voice as she stuck her hand beneath the faucet once more. "Will you ever cut your hair again? Like you did a few years ago?" "Maybe... Haven't put much thought into it." Claire replied, letting the water from her hand seep into his dirty blonde hair. "I love your long hair... It's easier to pull." Leon spoke with a seductive yet snarky tone. Claire smacked his arm whilst also trying to not laugh, "Leon!" She shouted, her cheeks flushed. "What? I didn't do anything!" Leon tossed his hands out as if he was innocent. "You're something else." Claire rolled her eyes playfully, interlocking her fingers with the scissors.
Beginning to snip the right side of his head now, Claire was deep in thought. She couldn't help but feel beyond appreciative for the life she's been gifted with. Aside all the bioterrorism & trauma that's with come into her life, with all of that, she met Leon, the love of her life. Without him, she doesn't really know where she'd be... She's not the super sappy type but on occasion, she gets in her feels. "I'm so in love with you..." Claire whispered to her husband, trimming his hair with ease. "You're my world." Leon muttered back to her, he also seemed to be lost in his mind.
Leon's hair was scattered all over the kitchen floor, some of it even on both Leon & Claire's pants. "You're sweeping this up afterwards." Claire demanded with a chuckle. "You got it." Leon responded with a smirk. "I'm almost done, just a few more strands need trimmed off." Claire announced. "Fine by me sweetheart." Leon replied to her statement. They both remained silent for the next couple minutes as Claire continued her work. She was still blown away by how well it looked but then again, as Leon said, it was only a trim. He definitely helped her with the motivation of the task, he helps her in so many ways.
With the final snippet, his hair was complete! "Oh, all done handsome." Claire spoke gently, stepping backwards away from him to get a better full view. "Oh nice." Leon mumbled aloud as he then stood up, he quite literally towered over Claire. "Shake your head baby, it'll make your hair look more natural." Claire implored. Leon nodded in agreement, shaking his head like a wet dog does after it receives a bath. "Great, go take a look and tell me how you feel & like I said, don't you dare get upset with me, this is on you." Claire snorted, pushing him out of the kitchen and aiming for him to go to the bathroom. "If you say so babygirl." Leon giggled, making his way to the bathroom.
Claire waited patiently in the kitchen for Leon to come back to her, wanting to see his initial reaction. Was he gonna like it? Or dislike it? Even hate it? Deep down, she knew he'd like it no matter what but even so, that worrying feeling filled her deep within. She trusts herself though. "Baby? Come back here. Do you like it!?" Claire spoke with a full throated tone. She waited for a response but he didn't make a single pipet of a noise.
"Leon!" Claire yelled as she began to step towards the bathroom and as she did, she seen him standing in the doorway of the bathroom, checking himself out in the mirror. "Jesus baby, why diidn't you answer me?" "To busy checking myself out, damn I'm hot." Leon said jokingly as he ran his fingers through his hair. "Oh... So you like it? It's not too messed up?" Claire wondered, folding her arms and slowly treading to the bathroom arch way. "Honey..." Leon chuckled as he spun around to face her. "You did wonderful, come here." Leon held his hands out as she walked closer to him.
"Well, I'm glad, you do look quite dapper." Claire giggled, wrapping her lanky arms around his muscular back, facing up at him. "You think? I could say the same for you, beautiful." Leon flirted back with her, patting her butt delicately. Claire didn't say anything back, she only nestled her head into the warmth of his chest. His heartbeat was calm & collected, it made her feel immense peace. "You okay?" Leon cackled out, rubbing her back with complete & utter love. "Yeah, I just love you." "I love you babygirl." Leon whispered to her, his left hand petting her head.
Leon was always way more physically affectionate than Claire was but she has her moments. It doesn't hurt to wanna cuddle up sometimes, which they'd definitely be doing tonight. They needed each other & often they need one another's touch. "I really do like how you did my hair, don't think I'm just saying that because you're my girl." Leon uttered to her, pulling away and staring into her piercing, breath-taking eyes. "If you say so." Claire chortled, her delicate hands resting on his hard chest. "I mean it, Red." Leon said with a affirming tone, hoping Claire would realize he's being truthful. She nodded in reply.
"Now, how about we order that food? I'll even sit through your show." Leon smirked. "Sounds like a plan handsome." Claire replied, pulling how her phone from her pocket and begining to dial the number.

The bright white lights were beaming in the tranquil, pristine room. It was also quite a small room, clearly meant for only one person to be staying in, but it was extensive enough to allow visitors to stay in. It smelt very bland, as if it had no smell, it was a boring scent. There weren't many windows either, just a few along the left wall, which showed the busy outside world, people who were actually able to live their lives outside of a hospital.
Claire didn't like it here - she absolutely despised being in the hospital. If only she would've been more careful, she wouldn't have ended up here, in this plain, depressing room. All she wanted was to be back at her house, laying in her bed and watching TV or reading a book. Here, she can still do that, but not like she can back home. Now she doesn't even know when she'll be out of here, the nurses haven't given her a clear set time yet.
Her entire left side hurt, it was beyond bruised up, it was all black and purple. Her left arm was also banged up too, having red scratch marks all down it and a huge dried bloody scab on her elbow. Her body hurt, but it wasn't an unbearable pain. She's sure if she was in the comfort of her own home, she would feel a whole lot better. But alas, she has to stay here to make sure no further damage occurs to her well being.
Not only does she miss her home, Claire also misses being at work. Despite her mission at TerraSave causing her to get hurt, she doesn't really care, she just wants to get back out in the world and work, it's her ultimate passion and it's all she ever wants to do aside from being home. She misses some of her co workers, luckily a few of them have visited her. Gabe is the one she misses most, the two have a tight bond, he's like a second brother to her.
All Claire was trying to do was get her mind off of the fact she's rotting in a hospital bed mid day, when she could be at work, being productive and useful. She feels lazy, which is a feeling she hasn't even felt since her days in college, back then she was lazy, she'll admit that. Although, it's kind of hard to keep her mind off of it when all she can even hear is the sounds of the lights buzzing above her, they were clearly old and in utter need of being replaced.
Once she's all healed up, the first thing she's doing is going to HQ and asking when the next upcoming mission will be ; that is if they even let her go on one. TerraSave happens to be rather safe than sorry and sometimes they'll force workers to take breaks from serious missions after a messy injury, which Claire has sadly suffered. It's like all she can think about - working and being home.
Whilst Claire was deep in thought, she hadn't even noticed a nurse walk in. The woman seemed young, even younger than Claire. She finds it admirable that young people are working towards such tough and hard working jobs ; a nurse being a great example of that. It encourages her more than anything. "Hi Claire, I'm Kaylee, it's nice to meet you, your usual nurse had the day off today so I'm here just to check in on you!" Kaylee spoke, her tone kind. "Oh, yeah, sure." Claire responded, attempting to sit up.
"Oh, no hun, just stay layed down... You did a lot of damage to yourself." Kaylee chuckled to herself, seeming very friendly. "Yeah, guess that's what happens when you work in the force though." "I imagine so... TerraSave, correct?" "Yes, that's the organization I work for." Claire responded, her eyes gandering up at the nurse. "What's your position there?" Kaylee questioned, holding a clipboard in one hand and a pen in the other, most likely needing to gather some info from Claire.
"I'm a representative for the company." Claire answered, sliding some of her loose hair behind her ear, although it hurt her arm a bit, she still wasn't recovered at all. "Nice... And your organization just basically helps people and the aftermath of terrorist attacks? Or just attacks in general?" "Pretty much, yeah." Claire spoke, her tone brittle. "I see now... And how exactly did you end up injuring yourself?" "Well, I was on top of this steel platform, trying to get a better angle of where our missing chopper was, because it literally vanished, then boom, the platform starts swaying and I fell from it onto a rock, it fucking hurt." Claire snorted, rubbing her temple. "I bet." Kaylee replied, her tone empathetic.
"I'm honestly surprised you're okay, for the most part. You bruised your ribs pretty good and your entire arm is scratched up and it's swelled... Like a lot... You're a tough girl." Kaylee complimented, placing the clipboard down. "Thanks, I try." Claire tittered, sighing deeply to herself, her eyes staring down at the white marble floor, Claire imagined it was cold to be barefoot on, but at least the cot was warm enough.
"Alright well, thank you for answering those questions, I appreciate any information I can get." Kaylee stated, smiling kindly at Claire before speaking once more, "Oh and by the way, Barbara, the receptionist currently working told me that you have a visitor on the way, not much has been told to me but I know their name is Leon, does that ring any bells?" Kaylee asked, seeming skeptical. "Oh, yes, that's my boyfriend. Jesus, in all honesty I forgot about him." Claire giggled, she wasn't being serious but she won't lie, he wasn't on her mind much.
"Don't worry, you hit your head and got hurt, you tend to worry about yourself more than others which is valid in this situation but I'll keep your secret." Kaylee reassured her. "Thanks." Claire chuckled, folding her arms. "Yeah... Anywho, I'll see you soon, I'll check your vitals and all that good stuff in about an hour or two, will you be okay until then?" "Yeah, don't worry about me!" Claire expressed, giving Kaylee the queue to know she could leave not worrisome. "Okay then, just hit the button on the right side of your cot to alert a nurse and one of us will come to you, sound good?" "Yep!" "Alrighty then, bye bye Claire." Kaylee said with a bright, cheerful grin before walking out of the room.
Breathing out deeply, Claire reverted her eyes to the TV directly in front of her bed. It was a small, black square one and it was mounted onto the wall. What was playing was Steve Irwin, the guy was playing with some Cheetahs, it was adorable. Sadly, the man had passed away not to long ago, Claire remembered how girls at her high school fawned over him. She has no doubt girls will continue doing it once his son is older.
Through the small windows in the compact room, Claire spotted a few different breeds of birds finding their ways to the sills of them, relaxing and pecking away at whatever goods they were able to acquire. Claire adored wildlife, it was so natural, like truly. It isn't even debatable. It sort of kept her mind off of the fact she was hurt pretty badly, but nevertheless, she would recover soon, it's just a matter of time.
Lost in her own thoughts, Claire was startled when she suddenly heard the door creak open, black shoes were visible from the bottom, indicating it was Leon. He must've just gotten out of work, he dresses quite nicely for it too. "Leon?" Claire spoke aloud, hoping it'd be him. "I'm here babygirl." He said back to her, opening the door fully to show himself off. He looked as handsome as ever.
"Hi." Claire mumbled, tilting her head upwards, catching a glimpse of his face. "Hi baby... You doing okay?" Leon questioned, striding over to her cot and immediately grabbing her hand, knowing to be careful, despite it being her not damaged arm. "Yes, I'm okay, just sore and hungry." Claire responded, her voice soft & timid. "I imagine honey, I heard you had quite the fall. Pedro told me you were unconscious afterwards, I wish I could've been there, my love." Leon spoke with sincere, he felt horrible that he couldn't be there for her the day it happened.
"It's okay, you were at work, you aren't obligated to come to my rescue." Claire tittered, beaming at him with love plastered on her face. "I kind of am though..." Leon whispered, caressing her hand with his thumb. "You said you were hungry?" "Yeah, I haven't eaten since yesterday, before all this happened." Claire chuckled, sighing deeply to herself. "I can pick you up some food here in a bit, I don't need you trying to eat this shitty hospital food." Leon snickered, firmly holding her hand, making sure she knew he was there for her.
"It's okay, I'll live." "No, I insist, I can get you whatever you'd like, from wherever." Leon insisted, sitting down in the chair beside her hospital bed, being careful to not bump anything. "Well... A bagel from the bakery sounds good." Claire giggled, gazing up at her man. "You ask and you shall receive." Leon smirked down at his girl. "Before you go, just stay here for a bit, it's been literally two days since I've seen you." "Okay beautiful, I'm more than happy to stay here with you... When will you be able to come home?" "Don't know yet, I imagine I'll find out when the nurse checks my vitals again." Claire replied.
"Okay. Whenever you're able to, whether it be tonight or tomorrow or whenever, I'll bring you back to my place, it'll be safer that way. Pedro told me you're getting some time off, he told me you were pretty rough looking." Leon heaved, letting go of her hand and moving it to her hair, slowly running his fingers through it. "I bet I was." Claire blew out, adjusting her upper half and attempting to turn her body to get a better view of Leon. "No, just stay there, you're so stubborn." Leon chuckled. "I just wanna be able to move again." "Give it a day or two babygirl."
Claire cutely rolled her eyes and let out another deep breath, she seemed very bored of this place, which Leon didn't blame her. He wishes that she could be home, with him. It's all he wanted for her. "Come here." Leon mumbled, standing up and drawing himself closer to her body, embracing her with open arms. Claires lips formed a half smile whilst she wrapped her right arm around him, using her fingers to grasp onto his shirt.
Leon nuzzled his head into her neck, breathing gently and taking in this moment with stride. He was grateful she was okay, he doesn't know what he would've done if she would've gotten more injured than she already is, or worse. Leon can't imagine a world where Claire isn't his soulmate. "I'm glad you're ok." Leon uttered out in her ear, kissing her cheek a couple times before officially pulling away. "I love you Claire." "Me too and I love you more, Leon." Claire said, her heart was swelling with care and love for him.
"Do I look dumb at all? My hair is a mess, I haven't showered in two days and my entire left side is just beyond beat up... Ugh..." Claire scoffed. "No, no babygirl, you look fantastic always. You could like..." Leon stopped in thought before finishing his sentence, "You could have literal shit smeared on your face and I'd still view you as perfection." Leon laughed, lightening the mood. "Ew, you sicko." Claire chortled, slapping his arm lightly. "Just speaking my mind." He mumbled out to her.
"Oh, by the way, Chris let me know he's gonna fly down from New York to check on you. I wouldn't dare try and deny his request." Leon joked, he somewhat feared Chris but respectively. "What? Why? I'm fine! That's a waste of money, he has absolutely no reason. Oh Jesus." Claire groaned out. She wasn't a teenager anymore, yet he still tries his best to take care of like she is. "Hun, he's your big brother, he's going to worry." "I get that, yes, but it's beyond unnecessary, I'm okay." "Well, it's your problem now, not mine." Leon teased, pinching her cheek playfully.
Leon leaned over towards her face and planted a gentle, warm kiss on her lips, breathing in her scent as he did so. He felt a load of sorrow deep within him. Seeing his girlfriend hurt like this was the last sight he wanted to bare. And when she had asked, "Do I look dumb?" He just felt his heart break a little bit. He was never much of the soppy type, but Claire has definitely made him softer, more affectionate. She will always be his love, she'll always be loveable, no matter what state she's in.
He kept the kiss going for a bit longer, very lightly touching her hip considering it was the bruised up one. Claire's right hand held onto his forearm, her eyes were closed too. "I just wish I could've visited you sooner, I'm sorry that I was working." Leon spoke, his tone blue. "No need honey, I understand. I'm just appreciative that you're here now, that's all that matters Leon." "I'm glad beautiful. I'll make sure you get home soon, I don't need you stuck here in a hospital." "Trust me, I know." Claire tittered. "I can't wait to get back to work." Claire exclaimed.
"Well sweetheart, I hope you understand you aren't going back anytime soon, you need time to heal, you could've... You just really got hurt, alright?" "I'll go back whenever I feel okay." Claire pleaded. "No Claire, you'll go back once your body is okay. You're so stubborn and so damn ambitious, it's attractive." Leon laughed, telling her how he felt. "I got my ways." Claire snickered. "But seriously, I want to get back to work asap, I hate being lazy, you know that." "This isn't lazy, this is called recovery, you need it babygirl." Leon persisted. "Fine." Claire sighed, laying her head back onto the hard yet comfortable white pillow.
"You're dramatic." Leon teased, plopping back down into the chair and gleaming at her. "How about I go get your bagel, how's that sound?" "Yes, please, I can feel my empty stomach each time I move." Claire chuckled, tossing her right hand onto her lower stomach. "Ok. I'll be back soon, just hang tight and don't fall asleep on me, yeah?" Leon spoke, pulling his head down to hers and pecking her forehead with carefulness.
"I'll be back, I love you." Leon stated, kissing her lips quickly before beginning to tread lightly out of Claire's hospital room. "Love you more handsome." Claire responded, waving goodbye with her healed hand.
