What sucks is we never got to see Anya as....Anya.
We never saw how she was with Lexa. How she must've rigorously trained her, or hit her on the head when she wasn't focused. How they would've spent their time together, always teasing her about Costia. How they would silently judge others and make jokes on Titus. How they would've trusted each other as sisters in a world where no one can.
We never got to see how see would've been with Aden. How she would spar with him every now and then. How she would've told him embarrassing stories about Lexa and how she would've always been super protective of him (we saw her with Tris you can't tell me she wouldn't go to the same lengths for Aden).
We never got to see how she would've been with Indra. How both of them would take on the stoic mask when required. Standing side by side in Lexa's honor and having each other's backs always. Anya always trying to one up Indra in battle and it always ends in a tie. Anya and Indra being completely exasperated over Lexa trying to woo Costia and making a fool of herself.
We never saw her with Lincoln. How she would've treated him with respect but also friendship. Taking sympathy to a soul who wants nothing but peace and is forced to work against that very goal. How she would've let it slide when Lincoln went missing from camp or spent time drawing rather than training because she's Anya like that.
We never got to see how she would've almost murdered Titus at least twice a day out of sheer frustration.
We never got to see her in every light. We never got to see her except in pain and suffering. We never got to see her when she wasn't hurting and doing whatever she had to in order to live. We only saw her as someone who fought and fought and fought to survive, and still didn't.
Anya was a great warrior, a great general, a great leader and a great mentor and she should've lived.
Anya deserved better.
