Cleytus is a big fan of cats. he has one from his Cognizant internship days and it's an anomaly discovered in Guangdong. the cat was about 10 ft tall when it was found near the Yangjiang reactor but gradually shrunk back to a normal size after returning to a radiation-free area. Cleytus named it Geiger. Cleytus works with the Ostro staff whose bodies have high levels of radiation so Geiger's size changes a lot.

Crow got a crocodile (also assignment) from Carnaki on his 19th birthday. its strange throat anatomy enables it to sing. it's also one of his research projects regarding unusual animals. Crow and Caro are big fans of music, especially Italian operas. Culver and Crow once moved the crocodile to their living quarters and everyone avoids the area when Caro sings about being hungry.

i doodled these while in a stupor at the Unity workshop, trying to visualize a design for the Sector 20 workers. they've been floating in my head as a reptilian-alien species and i'm still developing them. Sector 20 is a parallel dimension which means everyone in our world (sector 4) has a double of themselves. Epsilon is not ingested here, it's a virus that is cultivated to be injected into the bloodstream. they have no mouths and lack a voice, communication is done telepathically but with the discovery of Epsilon they are able to morph and speak physically upon reaching LV4. it doesn't seem special to us but to the folk in Sector 20 it's like wOW HOOLY SHIT AMAZING.

the drawing of Carnaki was done for Inktober. finally, a version of him that does not breakdance or yells YOLOOOO.

this is based on the stuff that Gunn emailed to me. i laugh at it every day. 

basically Cleytus doesn't get along well with young people, Crow's an exception because Crow's a genius but only academically (in other words he's dumb and doesn't disobey his junkie boss). Chiemi on the other hand has both knowledge and a fully operational brain so she doesn't put up with Cleytus' douche ways. from Gunn's comics, i can imagine that they greet each other like this on the way to their research departments. in Cognizant, respect is only given to LV4 and LV5 personnel (because they can rly fuck yo shit up).
