Client Web Design - Theme
To start this project, I considered the message I wished to convey with my design, which was naturally led by the client’s business. Since the client does window cleaning, car valet, power washing and carpet cleaning, I decided the keywords which I would base my design choices around were “Clean”, “Water” and “Professional”.
With these keywords in mind I began by making some colour choices. Regulars to this blog will already know I pick a LOT of colours at this stage, which I then whittle down organically during the design process. My main colour choices for this project were taken from various, slightly differently hued versions of The Great Wave off Kanagawa. Using the colour scheme in various versions of this woodblock print, I came up with a colour based theme for the site.
As you can see from my mock up, my design choices were influenced by this theme, represented by the droplet image shapes used throughout the site and by the way I have designed the social media icons. The font choices were chosen to convey cleanliness and professionalism in tone. They were also selected as I felt they were easy to read.
This site is now live, if you would like to see the completed design in action please click here.
Web Design for Window Cleaning Site
I was asked by a client to redesign their current website, which was in dire need of an overhaul. The design was uninspired, the copy writing was dull and the site was generally glitchy and unstable.
The first image shows the old design of the home page. There was no about page so I created one. Image two shows the new home page and image three shows the new about page.
I was given the task of redesign & copy writing for the site, with additional social media marketing duties to be commenced soon.
The old site is currently live, with the switch over taking place, hopefully within the next few days. I’ll upload more images of this design soon.
